(I dont care what anyone says, just cuz they had dolls, doesnt mean da show wasnt for guys too).
THE MISFITS kicked a$$!

I have all the episodes, & for those that are interested, JEM the "Complete First Season" will be available on DVD by Kid Rhino in early/Spring 2004!!
AND, Hasbro has JUST renewed their "Jem" liscence ...hmmmm??

I just made like 10 6-hr Jem tapes for my neices & friends kids & they are now obsessed! lol.

Jem waz kool, but I was more for The Misfits - (gotta luv da bad guys!)

Ghostbusters? ...which ones??
I remember there were 2 COMPLETELY different Ghostbusters cartoons that had nothing to do with eachother.
I personally preferred (what I call) the "regular" ones with Slimer.🙂

Which some of it was.
NO, IT WAS NOT "FREESTYLE" (you're right), ...but SOME of it WAS "Freestyle-ish".
I own the series & there are between 2-4 songs in every episode, so im pretty sure you havent heard EVERY song in the series. lol. 🙂

Then again, the series was created from 1984/85-1988 (some of Freestyle's high-peak days), so there's no wonder that this series, along with other known Real-Artists at the time, had some Freestyle & Breakdance influeces in their music. 🙂

Yes, it was the 80's, so I know, practically EVERYONE was "in-style",
BUT I ALways like to compare them to Pat Benatar & the "ORIGINAL" Exposé. lol. (Alé, Laurie, Sandeé)
Some of Jem's characters (Misfits) style is very similar: glitter-make-up stars & lightning bolts across their face, different color hair, wild slutty fashions, & a hott female trio with kool music & shady managers & music execs- lol.

But like I said, it WAS the 80's, so it was typical.
Especially that hott girl-groups were "all-the-rage":

I thought that waz kinda kool.🙂
 
THat JEM album is definitly a collectors item!I wish I had it!TRUE it is not traditional FREESTYLE,but it was the pop dance music at the time, which added the popular beats of FREESTYLE ,which is why I called it POP FREESTYLE.
 
true but if you listen to a good amount of the "pop" music from the 80's, everything had a "freestye" sound to it. even the stuff the play on the 80's tv shows!
 
Wow u all reminding me of coming out of school at 3pm running home to watch them cartoons. lol. Fav cartoons from the 80's hmm let's see woody woodpecker, fraggle rock, snorkels, thundercats hooo and the smurfs.

My friend loves Jem she has all that stuff. .I dont really like it though :lol
