Reber,ROBOTECH paved the way for the japanese cartoons of today,I do love that cartoon,it was the only cartoon that had serious issues and death!
REMEMBER,"CAPTAIN HARLOCK & THE QUEEN of a thousand YEARS"?SMURFS are so popular because its the first cartoon everbody remembers when they got up early on saturdays.

Yeah 70's cartoons and 50's etc.were still alive in the 80's ike SCOOBY DOO,BUGS BUNNY,FAT ALBERT,TOM&JERRY,LOONEY TUNES,MICKEY MOUSE & OTHER DISNEY ANIMATION,ETc..

Here's a Mind blowing one for you peeps!

Channel 11 WPIX used to do these phone/Interactive games where you would call in for the game of the day, it would be broadcasted on TV at the same time and you had to say "PIX" everytime you wanted to shoot the weapon of the space ship or some other game.

The games they used to use on that TV station were "Intellivision" games.
The spaceship game If memory serves me well was "Space Armada"

Everytime a ship flew into the cross hairs, you say "PIX" on the phone and it would fire the weapon. If you missed too many the game would end.

That ISH WAS THE BOMB!!!
