Thank you everyone for helping me out a bit here. This song was for a friend of mine who heard it on the radio. And yes Melissa22, you're totally right. It is Stevie B.'s Spring Love. I would have figured it out if he didn't throw in the sweet love part. He's a nutcase, what can I say.
