For records you can't beat Technics 1200's. For CD's you need the Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2s. I've heard LOTS of good things about Serato Scratch by Rane, and of course the Pioneer DVJ is just the worlds most superior machine yet. 🙂

My friend has the Newmarks for the CD's ... He said he like the fact that they are as large as a turntable and have the "fake" record on the top. He said it makes it still feel like he is using records with that feature ..

Then Serato hed love due to the fact you have 2 dummy records you throw on your turntables to control your song library on your pc or laptop. It has alot of editing features to use on the fly. Some clubs today are serato or final scratch ready. Like Mantra 986 they had vestax cd decks which are ok I use them at downshift radio but they had thier own serrato set up all i needed was to bring my lap if i wanted. My taste.. I prefer cd's cause im terrified showing up to a club and some horrible act of god wipes my hard drive and ooooopps no music for the nite. I know extreme scenario. But ive seen it happen drunken dancer asks corny request gets stupid trips and drops drink... and lands on the laptop.... and its not pretty..(lol or drunk dj's or thier dates for that matter) but Ive enjoyed the profit from thier loss lol Ive gotten the call to come and replace them =) lol
