After last Saturday's "WCYC is Back" concert dance party featuring Judy Torres and Keith Nunnally of JM Silk drew over 900 fanatics to Chicago's Studio 63 (the Club formerly known as the Prime and Tender), promoter Majic Juan Suarez and myself did some fancy dancing to ensure the return of CYNTHIA to Chicago for the WCYC Reunion party part II...

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 27th, 2003 (Midnite show) at Studio 63 (63rd and Harlem) in Summit, Illinois. Cynthia will be joined...

...by an upcoming extra super secret double triple fingers and toes crossed triple probationary mystery artist...and it isn't Picasso.

Joe, I would also like to see Ashley, Ayna, Nick Colon and other younger, fresher artists come in for these shows. I've tried to convince the promoter and club owner to invest in these acts, but the bottom line is-the promoters don't believe (have faith) that the new artists will draw enough to make a profit.

I wish that things were different, but I'll keep trying to make a difference for these acts.

Heck, I've been trying to get more established artists like Latin Nation, Artie Rodriguez and Legit bookings here, but no luck...

Wouldn't it be awesome if chicago would have a big freestyle show? Bringing Judy Torres, LiL Suzy, TKA, George LaMond, Coro, Cover Girl, Cynthia, Johnny O, Nyasia, Noel, ans so on. that would be so nice. Please bring them together at once. LOL!!!.

There is a rumor that I'm trying to track down...the names thrown around include Lisa Lisa, Lil Suzy, TKA, Johnny O and others. I've tried to confirm the venue, but I haven't had any luck. My guess is that a promoter is trying to get prices from various booking agents in order to explore a big show. The streetword is October 18th, but around here, you never know what's fiction and non-fiction.
