When do you put up your Christmas tree? Before Thanksgiving or after Thanksgiving? And when do you take it off?

I've always liked putting it up before Thanksgiving. Because to me, it's a lot of work to put it together and decorate it the way you like just to have it up for a week and then bring it down. So I put it up before Thanksgiving and take it down the day before New Years Eve. I don't like to bring in a NEW year with the Christmas tree from last year. That's just me.

What about you?

well i live alone so i dont put one up. my folks though put it up right b4 christmas.

I put it up right after Thanksgiving b/c usually I have my sons bday that same weekend. So as soon as the bday party is ova the next day the tree goes up but it doesnt come down till after three kings day.
🙂

We put our X-mas tree up the day after Thanksgiving and take it down a couple of days after New Years!! 😉

Well we put ours up usually the first weekend in December and take it down Jan 7 the day after the Epiphany (however you spell it)

wow carlitos, u quick papi.

I'm not always "quick". LOL. In all seriousness, I usually like to put it up within the first week and a half of December. Especially if it's a real tree. I love the smell and it's so exciting to put it up. We take it down within the first week of January.

Then, on January 10th, we celebrate my birthday. I would like to book France Joli this year!

Put it up the night of Thanksgiving. Take it down sometime in January. :lol

It's my lil tree that I put up in my room with all my Koala ornaments and since I'm an avid collector of them...I hate to put them away for another year! 😀

dayum if we were to put the tree up before thanksgiving that would mean I would have to put it up in late Sept lol 😛

LOL Joe.

I believe it or not put up The tree first. I do that so I won't forget after thanksgiving.

I started doing that 4 years ago when I used to work in retail. I knew I would not be home much because of all those 50 hour a week X-mas shifts.
