First of all, I'd like to wish everyone in the Freestyle family the best of holidays. This has been a challenging year for some of us, while others had a rather rewarding 2002. Whether you wishes are for professional excellence, or personal fulfillment, let's all strive to be at our best in the new year.
2002 brought me the mixed blessings of your friendships and feedback to "Wake Up Dancing", and then of course, the struggles of WLUW (88.7 FM) radio to find a solution to it's financial dilemna and management crisis-which caused the webcast to prematurely go off the air in May, 2002 (with a bang courtesy of Tony and NuImage).
Well...on the second day of Christmas, my e-mail gave to me the following news:
"The webcast is back up and running, thanks to some
assistance from Jason Saldanha, a WLUW supporter and
Loyola PhD student. Our web guy, Thomas, has been
asked to adjust the link on the website, but, in the
meantime, you can type in
http://147.126.7.8:8010/listen.pls to listen, or you
can go to www.shoutcast.com and search for WLUW.
Thanks also to Miles, who began the work before the
holiday break."
This news came from our Program Director, via our listserv system. I tried it out and Gosh Darn it, it's working!
Though it's too late to salvage your Friday morning Freestyle appetite, it's not to late to join the Club Kids on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm Central.
As the poster formally known as Freestyle Kitty might say..."Whoo Hoo!"
I know that this Saturday is not scheduled to feature Freestyle music, but how can I resist?
