Going to work yesterday, Wednesday, I heard TKA's "Feel THe Music" on Energy. Then they have been promoting the hell out of their concert at the end of August. Low and behold, I was listening to at work and guess who they add to the concert....TKA!!! Here comes freestyle, back in Chicago. I am excited...yeah yeah yeah!

Greg, I actually heard when they played it in the morning -- it was right after they announced that they added TKA to the lineup for the concert.

Actually, they played 'One Way Love' (which Jeff said was his favorite TKA song) .. then they played 'Feel The Music' ...

I also heard it 2 more times during the day yesterday ... damn, that station WILL play just about ANYTHING they want !!!

And FINALLY -- more freestyle !!

Hey HEY!!!! The concert is on Aug 25th. 18 and over concert dance party. Me and Hubby will be there!! Are you guys going? Today they played TKA'S Louder Than Love. Tickets are $32.50 before the concert and $42.50 the day of the concert. Who's GOING???

$32.50? damn, that's alot of money. Maybe freestyle kitty will buy me a ticket! ha ha ha It will be worth the money since TKA is my favorite group. Dont you find it funny how TKA is being played on mainline radio in Chicago now? This is their first release, "Feel the Music" that is being played in rotation, and not in the mixes. B96 in Chicago, They call themselves Chicago's Dance Beat, but in reality, they are going towards more rap and R & B, going after 107.5, WGCI! Never the less, B96 never played TKA in rotation, but they played Cynthia and George Lamond. I think we need to start pumping George Lamond over the air waves because he crossed over a long time ago. How come he is not crossing over now???

That is great news that TKA is coming to Chicago!!! I know Rockell, Kim Sozzi, Ultra Nate, Chili Hi Fly, Thunderpuss and a few more are going to be there. It should be a good show.

George Lamond has achieved the reverse crossover from english music to Spanish music!George Lamond is currently touring the world promoting his number one Latin pop cd "GL"!For more information on George Lamond's critically acclaimed highly sucessful salsa albums please visite his record company's website http://www.prestigeproductions.com !GOD Bless,Omar 🙂

ENERGY BLAST

So anyone going? I'm hoping they add Madison Avenue to the list of performers. 😎

I might be going only because TKA is performing. Don't get me wrong I do like Rockell and Kim Sozzi but they should have had Sa-fire in place of Ultra Nate, Gioia instead of Chili Hi Fly. I am getting tired of the disco house stuff. I do like Madison Avenue's first song but their 2nd and 3rd singles sound just like the first one. Even artists like Becca, Plummet or ATC would have been good.

TKA, Sarina Paris, Rockell, Chilly Hi Fly, New Life Crisis I am there peeps.

Proyecto1, if you're gonna advertise salsa, please do it in the "Everything else/ Shout outs" section...I like salsa too, but this is not the place for it...just like i've said this isn't the place for house tracks by TKA...

Arturo

Go somewhere with your bs labeling of TKA music. YOU and people like you are the problem that keeps 'freestyle music' stagnant. Grow with the times and open your mind.
Whatever we do, as long as it's under TKA and we are SINGING over popular rhythms at the time of release will and forever be considered freestlye. Get over your conservative BS and get out the way, TKA is coming through!

Peace,
TY

TyBless,
The one who needs to go elsewhere is you...with your bs of trying to feed non-freestyle music to the hungry Freestyle fans...I and people like myself do not keep Freestyle Music stagnant...how can that be when what we do is support real Freestyle, and not disguised music...So you think that as long as it is under TKA and you are singing, it will be considered Freestyle? If that were the case, then all of George Lamond's salsa songs would be Freestyle, and all of Noel's rock songs would be Freestyle as well... Maybe some people will consider your non-freestyle music as Freestyle, but those people are not the hardcore fans who really know what Freestyle is...You need to stop trying to BS us True Freestyle fans, TKA may be going through, but not through the Freestyle fan's yard...go record a Freestyle song and then come back.

TKA

I don't need to go over the whole TKA timeline with you to tell you what TKA is all about, because you know. If you don't have anything appropriate to say about our music, say nothing at all. You seem to be one of those haters who are stuck somewhere still doing the juevo and dreaming about Hearthrobs. Get over it those days are over. We always did the music we felt was in our hearts and it always got classified as "freestyle". That was before people like you were able to get behind your little PC and go yappin off at the mouth about people you know nothing about. It must be the air out there that makes you think that you are a moderator of this site. Your not. Trust me when I give Jack G, the man who has final say on this site, songs to ponder that he feels that are not freestyle, he doesn't let the song be heard here, because of people like you. People who show no repect for artist who have paved the way for this site to even exist. I ask myself everyday where would TKA have been had there been forums like these where people tried to regulate what kind of music they were doing then? I won't front, we did try to accadate the fans on this site who spoke to me/us with tact. Those fans had a major influence on what we did and we considered them everystep of the way. We don't need to go over the list of songs tht were never initialy considered what freestyle is/was, but because it was TKA, the songs fell under that banner regardless. The same effect will occur again upon the release of 'Forever' with it's more up to date sound and feel. The songs, unlike GL's Salsa banga'z and Noel's Rock joints, are still written the same way we did them way back when.
The limit you put on your music is hurting it. The funny thing is, on October 9th, you'll hear what I'm saying and you'll know that I'm right. TKA will again raise the stakes of the game and if you decide to be a hater, then you will be in the minority and on the verge of being left behind mystified about your music from 16 years ago. The reason is that it grew up. I think it's your turn, or your in for rude awakening my friend.

Funny thing, I thought this post was regarding a concert at ENERGY..not the fact that our music has a disco/house breakbeat. Where does the hating stop?

By the way I AM going somewhere, and then some. You'll be here posting your simple remarks and I won't have the time to tell you I told you so, but in your heart you'll know I was right.

Whatever.

Ty

Yo Ty. I have nothin to say about about all that noise youse are talking about. What I am saying is why everytime you come to post you give us a later release date? Somewhere I heard that Sept 4th was the final date. First you say the record is ready & that you are looking for a label. Then you say TommyBoy is that label & Sept 4th is the release date. Now I come back 6 weeks later to find out that Oct 9th is the release date. Just release the record & don't say anything anymore. You feel me?

Feel you?

Who the hell do you think you are?

I say what I damn well please, just like anyone else. It is not my fault that you were gone for 6 weeks and missed the fact that at the end of June we announced the official release date.
This is my business. It's my job to let the people know when our albums are to be released. Period point blank.
Look, your impatient and you want the album, I respect that. But as someone who is a 'senior freestyler' you should know how long it takes to properly set up and push an album.
29,000 albums are made each year, therefore if the marketing gets twisted while we are trying to rush just to make you happy, we get lost in the shuffle. Fans don't realize that the records you actually get to hear on the radio are less than 1% of all records made. That's steep competiton my people. This game takes shrewd, precise planning in order to make any kind of noise. I won't get into it more than that. I just need you (and people like you) to think a little before posting silly comments about something you obviously know nothing about.
Loose lips sink ships, YOU FEEL ME?

I never knew freestyle had so many tough guys.

Whoah. You need to slow your roll there. I don't know what crawled up your ass and died. I said first you say you are releasing the full length on Sept 4th. Now that I come back I hear youse are releasing the album Oct 9th. So just because I leave 6 weeks gives you the right to keep postponing the album. Give me a break. If that is the case I will leave another 6 weeks so this way when I come back I will hear that the record is going to be released in Nov. You feel that? And by the way I will be there at the Chicago Energy Blast. So you can let out some steam if you want to when we meet ok bro. Til then peacE!

whaaaaaaaaaaa...is that how u get people to buy records....boycott dat shit.............i'll have the mp3's anyway..

and dats comin out of da mouth of a true freestyle supporter.......😱

How Do You Expect For Me A TRUE Freestyle Fan To Buy Your CD, If You Are Talking To My Fellow Freestyle Lovers In Such A Rude Manner, Specially If There TRUE Freestyle Fans And They Know What They Want To Hear? Dont Exept True Freestyle Fans To Worship The Ground You Or TKA Walks On Or The Album Either, If It Aint Freestyle Im Not Buying It And I Dont Think TRUE Freestyle Fans Have To Either Just Cause It Says "TKA" On It, You Make TKA Look Bad, With Your Unprofessionalism!
