To all of my American CF brothers and sisters;
From all of your Canadian CF friends north of the border;
Our thaughts and prayers go out to you and to all of those who believe in peace and someday living in an unprejudiced world.
Today is a very sad day. I thought I was solid as a rock but when they were showing footage of the disaster sites on the Today show this morning I got all choked up and teary eyed. My heart goes out to everyone today.
Although I am not a religious person (hey - some people have even called me an agent of evil, lol) I will say a prayer for everyone...Those that lost their lives - may they rest in peace. The families that lost loved ones - may they find the strength to try and move on with their lives despite their great loss and for everyone else in the world - may we find a way to settle all of our differences and finally live in peace.
as i sit here and listen to all the names of the peoples lost on september 11 i cant help but think about there familys. these people were someones mother,father,sisters,brother,aunt,uncles,and so on.they say time heals all wounds but i dont think that will be the case here.i am still effected by the footage on tv.i still cant believe its been a year.my heart and prayers go out to everyone on this sad day.
GOD BLESS AMERICA !
I came to work today feeling very emotional, as my train went by I could see outside the window where the Towers once stood, and the finality of it all and the senselessness was a little too much today. I thank the lord that my sister survived that day.
May the families of the victims all over on 9-11 have strength to get through a day like today.
I can't believe a year has gone by. I went to a few masses and events, this morning, that honored all the victims of 9-11.
Today was a somber day for me. Even though I wasn't a firefighter at 9-11-01, my first day on the "field" should have been 9-11-01.( Makes me think would I be here today if I hadn't deferred it) But I had it deferred till the november class, but with the 9-11-01, the class started in October. I'm happy to be alive, and yet I feel sad for eveyone that lost someone that day. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, love, support and prayers. I would also, like to thank all of FDNY NYPD PAPD and all of the civilians that helped out that day. I ask everyone who reads this to say a prayer for those in the armed forces, who are overseas doing their best, protecting us from future attacks.
GOD BLESS EVERYBODY and GOD BLESS AMERICA

I would like to also send my condolensces out to anyone who lost any loved ones on this tragic day. I for one have not lost any loved ones, but do feel saddened for all of the events. My daughter was scared for me to come into to the city today, but we have to move on and assure them that things will be OK. keep ur head up guys and make sure to live life to the fullest everyday!
