A few years back Joe MASS produced tapes and cd's, and BOOTLEG them throughout the entire tri-state. He made a living off of bootlegging freestyle and dance music. I'm not talking about selling a few mixed tapes here and there. I'm talking THOUSANDS and THOUSANDSS.

Joe bootlegged more than any other DJ in the country.

Bad Boy Joe stole hundreds of THOUSANDS of dollars from dance music artists, ESPECIALLY freestyle artists. Now you try to make him look like a savior to freestyle with his legit cd's. These poor freestyle fans have no idea what a crook he is, as they run out and buy his cd.

Does the name "DJ Boom Boom" ring a bell? That was one of MANY Dj names that Bad boy joe would use to put on his mixed cd's, then sell them ILLEGALLY. Joe's cd's were found on the streets, night clubs, flea markets, and many many DJ stores in NY and NJ. Gene, how come those stories are not on www.badboyjoe.com ?

Its good to see that Gene and Joe have FINALLY learned how to make money legally. He's sold a great amount of cd's and has made alot of money with great mixed cd's. HOWEVER, i guarantee you, that he made TWICE as much money BOOTLEGGING for the 10 years he was bootlegging. And that says alot when you look at all the legit cd's he's sold the past few years.

And Gene, finally.......can you please answer the question "Why doesn't Bad Boy Joe DJ at any clubs or live events"? Why don't you let his fans know that Joe has no idea how to mix live, and lets his computer do all the mixing for him. What club did Bad Joe DJ at last? Cmon, let the truth out. These avid freestyle fans deserve the truth.

Philly "Legend"......read my post carefully again my friend. Here, let me type it up for you again, maybe you'll understand after reading it twice....

I'm not talking about what MOST dj's did back in the day. Sure, most dj's made tapes for their friends, some sold them on the side. I'm NOT talking about that. I'm talking about MASS distribution. Making, and SELLING thousands and thousands of tapes/cds. These are the people that hurt music. Not the average club dj that sells some mixes on the side. Bad Boy Joe had mixes in EVERY dj store, flea market, mall, club, car wash, etc. He made a LIVING doin this. He took hundreds of thousands of dollars away from labels, and most importantly the artist.

And of course hiphop pirates now. But its also the only music genre that is still selling in the stores. Plus, last time I checked, there isn't any new freestyle music for dj's to bootleg ! lol

Joseph Diaz, I Know What You Are Saying About The Bootlegs....most If Not All Dj's Have Played A Part In This, No Matter If Its 1 Or A 1000 Tapes,cds,etc....once You Make A Copy Of A Licensed Product, You Have Broken Copyright Laws Unless Permission From The Artist/s And/or Label Is Given....i'm Sure You'll Comment???
I Myself,i Am Helping Artist/s Now And Not Charging A Dime For My Services So They Can Keep Freestyle Going...i Don't Need To Make Tapes Or Cd's Since I Already Have All Songs Recorded In This Format....what I Am Doing Now And What Bbj/gene Are Doing Now Is What's Keeping This Music Alive And Giving Artist/s A Chance Were Most Doors Are Closed...the Artist/s Send Their Material To Them To Be Put On His Mixed Cd's Now....and Are Glad To See They Are Getting Exposure.....this Is What They Get In Return....

You Have No Idea How Hard I Had To Work To Get To Where I Am & All The B.S. I Had To Put Up With. Get Your Facts Straight, Because I Don't Know Gene For Ten Years It's More Like Five Years. I Will Start Working On Megamix Vol. 5 In A Few Weeks If You Have About 50 Hours To Spare Your More Than Welcome To Sit In With My Two Turn Tables, Records, Cd Player, & My Computer Then You Will See How It Is Done ( Along With Lots Of Headaches & Patience). The Computer Is Just Another Tool For The Dj's. It's A Lot Faster & Easier Then Cutting And Splicing Tape On 1/4 Inch Reel To Reel For Multi Editing Like I Used To Do Back In The Day When I First Started. That Was Hard Work. People That Are Old School Know Exactly What I'm Talking About. Just Because You Have A Computer Does Not Mean The Mix Will Get Done By Itself (like Magic).
