I agree with Nyasia and credit should be given when people try BUT when they try "hard"..what most interested me being more into the original sound was Aby performing ' One way Love" " XRay Vision" and "Come get my Love" I had not seen him perform those jamz since I was a teenager back in Queens long ago. It made my night so much that I had to personally tell him how great it was to see him up there with those songs , he appreciated it a great deal!!
 
I mean seriously, things are getting a bit testy in here, but I understand Angel's point of view. If you are gonna say that some one can't sing, than you had better show me someone who can. We all do freestyle because we love it so insulting Angel for not being signed to a major label, or getting major airplay, is also a slap in the face to all of us in the business. I'm a limited singer with about 15 fans and I'm not looking for a deal...just respect. When you insult someone putting their best foot forward and trying to entertain the fans, you just step on their pride and dignity. Angel you are my partner and you know how I feel about your talents, Pete...Just call it a day and make it up to him by buying his album when it comes out. I swear if we took a poll...(Hint), you'd probably see a shut out in favor of his talents....

Naya, true, stage prescence is critical to ones performance. It makes the show/concert all the more worth-while. (for both the performer & the audience).
Lemme find out imma start a "Freestyle Idol" show, & ur gonna be the female judge! - LOL!

PS: Whatever happenned to REFLECTIONS, from I beleive Springfeild/Southbridge MA??
My dancers are from around there & are related to them. I would like to know what they are doing these days.

Otra cosa mas, ...I just wanted to give a shout out to Ashley for being so nice when I met her in Miami, (I still gotta post dat pic!) & to Danielle Simone for being so cute! Although we don't really know eachother, she was mad kool, homegurl cleared the dancefloor dancing to oldskool Freestyle & Breakdance earlier this year when we both got to perform at The SoHo Lounge in Miami.
("Meeting in the ladies room" - lol).
 
well i enjoyed the show, i thought ever one did a good job,
i enjoyed both angel mena and Fred nice,
since it was the first time i heard their stuff..
i should have said something since i was standing behide ya (Fred Nice) for a while..
anyway..
it takes alot to go up on stage and do what they did, so my hats off to all of you who did great that night..

Angel Mena, I heard some of your work and I admit, it took me a while to know who you are, but you have the skills to prove your self in any event. I wish I could have went to the show. But you should not let ANYONE try to fragment your character. Yes, stage prescence is #1, but the music is what makes people move. Your songs is what touches people. Keep Rockin!
