see don't take things out of context here, I give props to those who did try thier best up there, stage presence wise and everything else, but when you don't go up there with enough respect for the peeps who pay to go see the show? then nope no props go to you. but again that is my personal opinion. Angel may have gone up however the hell he went up, but the man Has a great voice! so you see maybe one thing is not there but the other is, so it balances it out..but when you got two of nothing? negative.. and yes it does take alot to go up on stage believe me, I know, when your not feeling good, when the crowd isn't feeling you, but that still doesn't mean you let yourself go. If your not ready for the show then don't do it. And don't get things twisted please, cause I do enjoy watching peeps do thier thing, but I stated my opinion as a fan of the music. Because although I am an"artist" I am first a fan of the music, and would like to see it progress.

AND AGAIN I STATE THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON ANGEL MENA, if anything I am a fan of the man, just incase someone got in thier head to get stupid...

Nya, I was refering to the comment that pete made. There's a difference in constructive criticism and just calling some one out. BTW, it was great to see you and Paradise on Wed.

Pete has a way of sticking himself in situations that later on he regrets... but I understand, i was referring to other comments as well pa😉...and it was great seeing you as well sweetie.

Hello to all. I had a great time at Backdrafts. It was nice to see you all there, too many to mention, but thanks for making it a great night. Despite getting two flat tires, one tire blew, we put on the spare, and then the spare blew as well, and making it home at seven in the morning, LOL it was worth the trip. Thanks to Big Rob, Mely, Joe, Maria and my sister Iris for thier assistance. I appreciate all of the love and support. Thanks to Mickey Garcia, DJ Bryski and DJ Paradise. It is tough when we have to travel, buy clothes and get our show ready all on our own with out funds generated from radio play and sales. However, I do agree that if we are not ready for it, we should take the time to prepare. It bafles me how something positive always turns into something negative. Critisism is one thing, but to talk about each other online in a place where you can send pms and where you can call each other and discuss issues and work them outside a forum dedicated to music, not drama, is really something that bothers me. Enough is enough guys. We are all adults. It's all about the music, the parties, the good times. Remember that and prepare for it.

Manny

I agree with Manny. But artists have to remember that you're in a business, or for some a hobbie, where you have fans. And fans demand and (at times) deserve a show that they won'te forget. This takes alot of time and money, but the response is worth it. I'm not trying to be rude, but it comes with the territory. For example, if I may? Manny does not always have dancers, but he dances himself and when he does, the fans go nuts. He gives them a show. Just food for thought. I'm done now.

The the show was great. Not the greatest, but it was worth the 2.5 hour trip for me (one way). Coming from an area where Freestyle is basically dead...it was so refreshing being in a public place with Freestyle music playing loud and all the people loving it. I loved it!

If there is any concern I had with the show it'd have to be with the sound system, other than that, I loved it! I got to buy some CDs, too!

Can't wait for the next one...

I'd Like To Take This Time To Appologize To Mickey And The Fans For Not Being Able To Attend The Backdraft Event. Unfortunately, I Was Stricken By The Flu! I Am Glad To See That Everyone Had A Great Time!

Hey,I went to Backdrafts and asked Chris about you.. He told me you were ill.. Hope you are feeling better and hope to see you soon

I love how my name is the only one mentioned in all of this.
No one except for Ayna and Stefano had a "show".
Every single person went on there by themselves no dancers and "sang". And I use the word sang loosely. Sorry if I dont get suited up for these events anymore but lets keep it real. I am a solo artist with many influences. I am a product of my environment. And i will dress and act accordingly.
If i want to go on stage in chaclas with a toothbrush in my mouth F*@K it. (Imagine that)
Its funny cause i was at the copa and there were a lot of old school artists suffering from the same shit the new school suffers from. But of course they are gods and we are mortals so they can do no wrong.
Anyway I am me. I know I can sing. I don't need anyone blowing smoke up my ass telling me how good I am. If you don't like what you hear or see well then walk away.
Trust me i do it all the time at these shows.
But dont sit in the front of the crowd , cheer then run your mouth.

Lack of preparation. Or as i like to call it freestyleitis

LMFAOOOOOOOOO @ chaclas with a toothbrush in your mouth!

Sorry but that was funny as hell but for real...I hope to never see you do that! Much as I love your singing...I'd be sorely disappointed! *nods*

Angel and I hope you don't think I am blowing smoke up your ass, because when I see what i like, i say it, when i don't I say that too..i have no hair on my tongue and I don't spit dandruff... and your right about the old school looking like shit themselves too....and no they are not GODS not by a long shot...LOLOL

Like i said before this is in no way towards you..this was my own opinion of alot of what i saw...just like many times i have been tore up and told to take the critism for what it's worth... but this post of mine was in no way towards you daddy-o 😉 and peeps need to stop Fking instigating it that way, cause I can get grimey myself... so in the sport and love of freestyle, I will refrain from posting any more "constructive Critisism", when it is obviously not handled well by some...

as for you Ang, keep doing your thang, it's all good, and you are blessed with a great voice. Hope you didn't take my post as directed to you, because it wasn't... that was Pete's bag. 😉

Muah

NO i wasnt talking about you.
I read your post I know what you meant
I was directing that at the ones who do nothing but complain.

You people seem to forgot when a fan pays money for a show they deserve the best show that is possible. I dont care whether its old school, new school or elemantary school. Sorry to say but in music there is much more then music that makes a person a star. A star isnt born over night but takes time. Marc Anthony struggled for years before being the latin sensation he is. Half the people in here that posted in this column didnt even come to show support for the artists or the show. Thats a plain fact

I hear that...but then again, that is all alot like to do is complain, but they can't do any better... story of the life of Freestyle....LOLOL

lol@ Angel & da chanclas!

No one still has answered my question....
Did any of the guys (& possibly w/ Ashley) sing my jam "Do You Beleive In Me"?
