hey , just want to say Whats up to everyone i met and chilled with sat night at backdrafts, Fred and Angel, Manny, Nyasia, yeah girl its me Mattruco or however you spell it, Dj Paradise, Danielle, Looking yummy.... Artie and Legit, Artie, glad you are feeling better. And of course the reason I was even there, Ashley, gotta love that smile 🙂

Just my 2 cents. None of the artists got paid that night for the show. Which is the norm for the new school sorry to say. The only people that make any money are the promoters. An outfit can be costly. All these shows, no pay equals some broke ass artists. Sorry but thats the truth. They cant always pay for dancers, they cant buy outfits all the time. But when they do go up there to do their best some (not all fans) dont understand that they do it for the love of the music. The old school gets paid for their shows thats why they can have dancers and nice outfits. Not trying to make excuses just stating some facts. Dont get me wrong some new schoolers go out their way and have regular jobs that pay them well enough to pay for outfits and dancers, but unfortunatly most dont. I wasnt there that night, but I give props to all the artists that night that are still doing it and trying to give the fans something to keep them entertained. Much love to all the artists in freestyle, Old school and the New school.

But I do need to say this, if only to be honest and hopefully someone will take it as honest friendsly conctructive critism.... more and more I am so not seeing artist development. Someone that night told me what do you expect from new artists, and I said, Ayna is new school, but the girl went up there dressed for a performance, she had her dancers, she had her routine, she went out there like a true performer..so whether your new or not, stage presence is a total must! some of the acts were great some were just mediocre. Now I am not trying to hate or bring down anyone...I am giving constructive critisism as I have been given many times... I am reading on many threads how the show was the best they have seen in a long time, and that is sad to read...I am proud to see the new artists going to do thier thing and trying to keep it alive, but if this is how the plan is to be, then it will not go anywhere. I love to see some of my friends performing, love to hear the new artists and the new music BTW Arite and Legitt I love that new song! love it to pieces!

I myself do not have a grand show myself, which is why I choose not to perform again, until I am ready with new stuff and have a stage show you please the crowd..please take that into consideration if this is going to move forward.

Hope no one was offended by this.

Great point Nyasia and very delicately said. You speak like a professional as well as a CF friend.

Why is it something positive aways get shot to hell? Its friggin ridiculous and some peeps need to grow up. If you can't something in a adult way don't say it at all. I was at the backdraft show (what's the count now Krys) and although it wasn't the best show I've been too I had a blast. Manny as alway gave an awesome performance, I saw Cheree perform for the first time and it was great. Abie had me singing and Ayna did an awesome job. What the hell is all the fuss about? Angel you sounded great, don't let stupidity bother you. As for you Naya, you tored it up accapela. I believe that most people appreciate the advice you gave and please don't ever shy away from doing so.

Much Love to all those I saw, too many to shout out.

🙂

I understand your point and I sympatize as well for todays artist. Back in day when old skool was new skool 🙂 they were at least making $500 to $1K a show. Today is different. Still if you have an endeavor in this business then you should present yourself in that manner. My dad always told me dress for the job you want not for the job you have. Its about sacrifice and committment.

Just my humble opinion.

Willie V. 100% right, miss you bro hope all is good with you and Synthia. I do what I can for my fans and for my pocket as well. La mas Grande how are you, nice seeing you at the show and Boricua Prince. And to all that attended thanks for coming out.
