Ok I got the inner child out!

Coming from Canada the ONLY way to listen to KTU is through live net audio! So where I listen to it is LIMITED! Just a little while ago whenever I get a chance to hit the Sunday nite Freestyle Chat KTU pre-empts the freestyle show with BRRITNEY? c'mon what the hell is that! I get enuff of her on Z103 here in Toronto, and we only get an hour a week (Sunday afternoons).

And just like American radio stations, it's the same story here in Canada, the stations cater to Big name pop stars to fill out there rotation.

Once in a while we can tune in to an underground groove network playin freestyle, but it certainly isn't enough to fill our "fix". Other than that one lonely hour we'll get teased with a BAD BOY JOE commercial promoting his volume 2.

Certainly from the same radio station our Friday night Freestyle Club nights turn into the same repetitive Freestyle, C'mon Z103 get your act together were tired of listening to that same BON JOVI mega-mix! you guys are suppossed to be playin freestyle remember!

Ok...so I vented, as you can see kind freestylers, the same crap is happening @ both sides of the border, I think Z103 & KTU share the same mentality!!!!!!
 
I FEEL FOR YOU SPY. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE. REMEMBER BACK IN THE 80'S WHEN ALL THOSE STUPID ROCKERS GOT TOGETHER AT A BASEBALL GAME AND BURNED DISCO RECORDS AND HAD A BIG BANNER SAYING DISCO SUCKS WELL WE SHOULD DO THAT FOR KTU AND BOY AND GIRL POP ACTS.
 
I agree with MrFreestyle on some boy/girl pop shit......it's all crap.....KTU needs to wisen up and realize that if they keep on screwing us freestyle fans, then their going to have no fans left AT ALL....then what are they gonna do? Kiss our asses to make us come back? By then it'll be too late.

KENNY I BELIEVE IT WAS IN THE EARLY 80'S THEY SHOW THIS CLIP A LOT ON VH-1 WHEN THEY HAVE THOSE SPECIAL SHOWS.

You know, at least Z104 used to play a stale yet, sadly, refreshing mix of dance music on Saturday nights. But now they are basically the same as 107.3 or any other soft mix station. And HOT 99.5 is basically a lame mixture of ghetto R&B/Rap and teenybopper pop.

The radio situation here in D.C. is so bad, I find myself listening to country music sometimes!
 
I hear you!! Washington Radio Suck!!! I miss Z104's saturday mix show. Hot995, I don't know what their deal is. I find myself listening to 991HFS, DC101 and Smooth Jazz 105.9.

HOPEFULLY THEY DROP THE PRICE FOR XM RADIO AND THEY GIVE US GOOD MUSIC THAT WE ALL WANT. WHEN THAT HAPPENS I HOPE WE FIND A POST HERE ON THAT.
 
WELL, ITS EITHER GONNA BE LIKE CABLE WHERE THE PRICE KEEP GOING HIGHER AND HIGHER OR IT WILL GO LIKE VCR'S AND DVD PLAYERS. IT CAN GO EITHER WAY.😕

XM Radio sucks. I listened to the stations at Circuit City. They have three dance stations, all playing lame disco type music. lol.

Personally I love my 10-disc CD changer, I can pack tons of music in there. Radio sucks everywhere. Power 96 in Miami sucks, they play lame r&b songs. Z103.5 in Toronto sucks too, I listened to it a lot when I was in Toronto and its way better than our stations in D.C. but still they play tons of teenybopper stuff. So I just listen to CDs.
 
HOW ABOUT A DEVICE TO PUT INTO YOUR CAR RADIO WHERE IT WILL READ CD'S WITH THE MP3 FORMAT? HAS THAT BEEN OUT ON THE MARKET YET? IF SO WHAT IS IT CALLED AND HOW MUCH AND WHERE DO YOU BUY IT?

They've had mp3 players for cars for almost 2 years I think. Sony, Aiwa, etc. make them they typically cost from $250 and up. There's a cheap no name one available from Wal Mart for about $120.00, my brother has it in his car. It works fine. You can play radio (AM/FM), regular CD's, and CD's with Mp3's on them. Personally I prefer my CD changer 🙂. But that's because I can't give up my tape deck.

Now I see why KTU suck so bad. Also why they sound too much like Z100. Z100 is actually KTU sister station. They are both owned by the same company(you got it,Clear Channel). So basicly except for lots of club mixes on KTU, they are both the same station, they both pump up Nsuck, Britney, JayZ etc. Now the question is being answered why they suck. It might be more though.
