SEE WHAT I MEAN? I AM GOING TO LOOK FURTHER INTO THE XM RADIO THING BUT NOT NOW MAYBE WHEN SOMEBODY ON THIS SITE PUTS UP A POST CONFIRMING A FULL FREESTYLE STATION THAT PLAYS OLD AND NEW FREESTYLE.
 
I totally agree with all these statements. I thought I was the only who gets sick on all the same songs that this station keeps playing. The only freestyle songs that I keep hearing are "change on me" "come into my arms" "there's no reason to cry" and of course.."maria". These are of course good songs, bu they are NOT the only freestyle songs out there that the fans want to hear!!! I was so happy when bad boy joe was mixing every night, but of course, it was too good to be true. It's ridiculous how they play the same songs over and over. You can't help but hate on them all after a while!!! I just stick with my freestyle cds' and tapes. KTU should get all these posts and do something about it if they are actually devoted to their listeners. I hate when I hear people calling the show, giving them praise for the music that they play?????!!!! C'mon people, get real.............😡
 
Another Reason To Be Pissed at KTU

As thouhg KTU wasn't screwing freestyle fans enough, they decide to go and "revamp" their Saturday night dance factory. So instead of getting 2 hours of the freestyle mix, it's cut back to an hour...and if you figure in commerical time, your basically left with 40 minutes...if that. What are they going to do next?

Oh God!!! Anything but that!! My one fear is that since they cut the midnight mixes and cut the time on the Saturday mixes, that there gonna try and screw with Sunday nights. They better not. Their ratings will definately go down if they do that. Plus then they would piss off even more people than they do now.

i definitely agree with u dreamgirl...i'm already sick of hearing the same songs almost every 1/2 hour....thank god i'm boricua so i switch over to my salsa because my days can't become too boring without music to hype me up during the day. they need to extend the freestyle at noon.
 
At my desk i listen To Party953 from Orlando, they have good Freestyle during lunchtime and Mega103.5 from Miami. They play some great freestyle, now they sometimes play more recent songs. Few mins. ago I heard TKA-When Will See You

I DEFINETLY AGREE WITH EVERYONE. THAT THEY NEED TO REDO THEIR PLAYLISTS. IT'S TRUE WHEN EVER THEY DO PLAY FREESTYLE IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME FEW SONGS OVER AND OVER. AND HOW COULD THOSE BASTARDS CUT DOWN THE SAT. NIGHT SHOW TO AN HR. WHAT IDIOTS AND THEY EVEN GOT RID OF THE DISCO SHOW. HOW STUPID IS THAT. I WISH THEY CAN SEE THIS POST. NEXT THEY WILL GET RID OF THE SUN. SHOW.
 
Don't you see history repeating itself? This is exactly what started happening with Hot 103/97. It's the same old story. Our dance music station turns into a pop station and then a hip-hop station (which is already evidenced by how much R&B and hip-hop KTU is already spinning). They lure listeners in with dance music and then turn the tables when they try competing with Top 40 stations. All of the Clear-Channel-owned New York stations are basically inter-changeable at this point. The playlists of Z-100 and KTU are almost identical, and why oh why is our Jammin' Oldies station Jammin' 105 playing Mary J. Blige, Usher and Ginuwine???
 
I AGREE WITH YOU 100 % IVAN DILLER. THEY ARE DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID YEARS AGO. GREAT OF YOU TO POINT IT OUT.
 
Kenny, Jammin' 105 is playing more and more "current" music and less and less of the Jammin' stuff. They used to be big on KC and the Sunshine Band, France Joli, etc., but I guess they're trying to lure in younger listeners by playing Usher every five minutes.

Mega 103.5 in Miami is doing the same thing. They play a lot of Amber, Sonique, KC/JoJo and some new TKA and The Safire/Cynthia. Mega is 500 times better than Power96 and Y100

JAMMIN 105 IS VERY GOOD NOW BETTER THAN HEARING THE TEENYBOP STUFF ON KTU. KENNY ALSO 92.7 THEY PLAYED SOME FREESTYLE RECENTLY.

i honestly have been checking ktu every now and than and have heard some freestyle but not enough. i still can't believe they cut the show's time on sat. and sun. a few months back they even added more at the lunch mix. i think they are very confused at ktu. maybe they changed owners.
