I have not heard Angelinas new stuff, but I have heard Jocelyn's and it's already a big favorite of mine. "No Way No How"

ALL IM GONNA SAY IS.............I ALREADY HAD A THREAD GOIN ABOUT ANGELINS NEW CD...IT WAS A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT...COMPARED TO HER OTHER 2, HOWEVER AS FOR JOCELYN, HER LAST 2 WERE TIGHT TOO...IM HOPING HER 3RD DOESNT TURN OUT TO BE A BAD ONE LIKE ANGELINAS DID! AND TO COMPARE THEIR LAST TWO...ID HAVE TO SAY "JOCELYN" TO THE FULLEST! MAKE ME PROUD AGAIN GIRL!!!!!!!!

I'm w/ Nyasia, I haven't heard any of Angelina's new stuff (they never serviced us at the station & I couldn't find it at the stores). I've already heard Jocelyn's stuff (extra points for the label servicing us) & it's really good. This could be the one to help relaunch her career & take it to the next level.

Jocelyn had international recognition once already; it is not too much to ask to include a freestyle mix or two on the new dance singles; as was done in the mega hit "do you miss me" from a few years back.

Both artist are great!! Each one of them help keep Dance Music on the Radio in The Bay Area!!

Angelina albums were also printed on international labels. The Truths is that Dance music isn't goin' well as a whole, but then again niether is ANY OTHER TYPE OF MUSIC!!

I like Angelina 3dr album, its true it isn't the same, but I didn't really like but two songs off her 2nd album.

As far as Jocelyn, She is a dope artist, and I love her albums!! But it too, well be FAR from being the same form her two other albums.

Crazy thing is, that either of these two Bay Area artist live anywhere near the Bay Anymore??

havent heard any of em yet.

but i do hope they both have an impact for the genre as they both did years ago.
love both of em.

however, jocelyn did have a larger impact international wise and also in the respected underground scene of electronic music. With such samples on "a lil bit of extacy" taken from undergound records as "let the beat control you body" by kelly reverb.
It kept Jocelyn more on the international cutting edge and brought back respect from outside scens to freestyle again. It reflected freestyles fresh new mentality that there are some of us aware of what is going on outthere and we are part of it.
i mean both artist and their projects were new, big and great, but jocelyne, like planet soul went beyond the walls of freestyle and kept the world in check of the cutting edge freestyle sound of that time.

the last record that actually made noise for Jocelyn in miami's scene was
"when I get close to you". which favored well in both House and break clubs. However i see it was suported more by freestyle/breakers rather than typical freestylers.

it did cary that new electro freestyle sound.

so i hope we get the same with some UPDATED sounding remixes that will draw attention back to the freestyle scene.

Well I finally got a chance to hear Jocelyns new cd...just about every song was tight! I dont particularly care for slow jams, but her fast beats are tight! Yea Carlitos Way is right...we should support both...however if a thread is asked " our opinion on the 2 " we should be able to give it! I totally support Angelina, but this last album wasnt what I thought it be. As for Jocelyn....she out did herself once again!!
