Actually it was 40 years ago last night. It was then; The Beatles made their first apperance on US TV on The Ed Sullavan Show. They help change music forever.

The only big music mainias ever is Elvis, The Beatles and Michael Jackson. Those are it.

many teenybopper girls tell me that the Boyband and teen queen movement of the late 90's was a mania. Not really, NSuck and Backstreet had Times Square closed down for TRL. Britney and X-Tina stay in the news. But they all feed off each other. So they are not a true mania. grunge and Gangsta rap was a huge musical social movement, but not excatly big in the mainstream. Rap got bigger in the late 90's.
