A lot of CF members have been on this site like "forever". :rolleyes But can you remember how you first learned about CF? When you first visited the site, what was your reaction about it?

I don't really remember how I learned about it. I think someone told me about it. And when I first visited it, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I was just reading people's responses to different threads. Laughed at a few of them. Went to Freestyle Talk and enjoyed the different threads about Freestyle. I remember being on CF for hours before I decided to become a member. ha,ha,ha,.......When I finally became a member, I really didn't know what to post about. Didn't have any clues how to get started. Johnny Budz was here at that time and funny as hell. He made me feel comfortable. And I guess the rest was history as I kept signing on everyday. That was my birth here at CF. 🙂
 
another cool question!

I was surfing the net for freestyle. I found cf on a night that a chat was being held. I remember signing in as Chuck, but I kept getting changed to "guest#2345" because there was a registered member under the name of Chuck, so I added the "D".

This was before there were all these forums. I remember the original cf board was on message board, with people basically posting what they wanted, where they wanted. Very unorganized. I joined as ChuckD the next day after that chat.
 
the thing i most liked about cf was its chats.. i had no idea there were all these other people i could talk to who loved freestyle as much as i do. anyway i found out about this site off of an old freestyle radio show and have been hooked to cf ever since. was pretty cool!
 
Found out about CF while doing a search for PSO - Monogammy :lol

I did an internet search for freestyle and this was one of the sites that that came up on the search page. I clicked on it got in and got hooked. You see, where I live freestyle is non-existant and I was having withdrawals. LOL The rest is history. Going on almost 3 years I've been a member on this site. I've met a lot of great people that are members on this site. And I still want to meet more.
 
i also sis a search for freestyle after see TKA in a club in MIA..
i had not seen or heard anything about freestyle in years so i was so happy when the radio said TKA was going to be at a club...
after that i was hooked..
 
I started chatting with Johnny Budz on a regular basis. He told me he was developing this site and I remember when it was still being tested. I joined as soon as it went live and the rest is history..been here ever since.

I was checking out the "Freestyle Nation" board way back when. I didn't post just read it at first. Then I happen to hear about CF from my best friend which she also was on the Freestyle Nation board and on CF is when she and I became close buddies at an Exit Freestyle concert was the first time we met. It was cool. I remember when cf was just beginning to start out. That's how long it's been....
 
La Matrix, told me about some story that Kayel was writing in the poetry section. She knew that I would like it, so I came on and started reading the other threads. I was hooked and the rest it history...........

I was listening to a freestyle radio show here in Toronto and the host mentioned this site. I started lurking around this site around 2001 reading all the artist bios and stuff. Later, I started lurking around the forums and reading the threads but it was still a long time before I actually joined. I joined in spring 2002, so I would say it was almost a year between the time I found this site and the time I joined. LOL

Anyway, even after I joined I still didn't post very often. I would add my 2 cents here and there, but for the most part I stayed in the shadows. I've started posting more often in the last year or so, but I still tend to lurk in the background and observe. LOL
 
I learned about this site from a group "Freestyle Forever" on mg.com! I loved this site because it has a poetry section! 😀
 
I was doing a search on freestyle music and a pop-up ad came about clubfreestyle. Then while talking to a friend of mine he also mentioned
clubfreestyle. I have to day to this day I'm more hooked on CF than my friend is. :haha
 
I used to be a regular on the #freestyle channel on IRC on the Efnet servers until it was taken over. I learned about the site as it was going up and joined in its early stages. I registered under the name bassboy and didn't really post as much as I'd have liked. I took a break from life and some eyars later reregistered.

BTW, anyone up for recreating an IRC channel or some other web chat where we can all interact away from the message boards?
