well i am not a teenager anymore but im still pretty young (21). But I was a teenager when freestyle artists were large on hot97. I remember hearing all the advertisements of who was performing at what club, knowing I couldn't go mind u! But I think freestyle is good for young people to hear. It's REAL, no bubble gum $hyt! U got the occasional swearing here & there with good hard street beats behind innocent luv songs, songs of partying hard, or triflin' break-ups! 😛

its about real life, the good with the bad.

I'm Dies y Seis años LOL..for those non latin folkz Sixteen and i've been into freestyle ever since I started DJin' as a matter of fact Paradise got me into the DJin' Scene (I don't know him personally) but juz listenin' to the Wicked Edits and Cuts I had to get into it...so with a little help of my brother and paradise I got hooked on Freestylin' and been bumpin' and spinnin' at parties ever since I was 11 years old....and once freestyle gets in your blood, and soul, you juz can't stop the beat that's in your heart....latahz,

Freestyle is timeless. This is 2001 and you can still blast TKA Scars of Love and it would rock the party like a track from Rockell. Freestyle has quality unlike teen pop, in which the music is disposible and fake(mainly the artist; Destiny's Child, oops I forgot, Beyonces group! and Britney slut and Nsuck, don't forget willa ford ,please!!). Freestyle ROCKS!!!

i got into freestyle when i was 10, well i'm now 26 and still bumpin' the Freestyle flava. i tried to get my little cousin into it over the years( she is now 15) but it's no use, she hates it! she is really into hip hop and booty bass......although i do catch her singing some of the more popular Freestyle songs on ocassion when i or radio plays them, but as soon as she catches me looking at her she stops and pretends she cant stand it lol.

LOL Marlon..Thats sad..I got my 9 year old brother into Freestyle when he was around 7 I think. His favorite is Johnny O and TKA..That I know..LOL..Like I said..TKA runs in the blood!..😀

I was introduced to FS for the first time when i was 10 years old....I remember the first FS song i ever heard was "Too turned on" by Alisha & "Summertime, Summertime" by Nocera.

I agree with everyone here about our music. Once it becomes a part of you & a part of your past, It just doesn't fade!!!!!!!

I was talking to my girlfriend the other night about tracks & lyrics. I read to her the lyrics of "Stand by your Lover" (which she had never heard). And she melted. She's like "wow how beautiful!!!!, it's so poetic".

That's the affect that FS has on someone!!!!! It's so damn romantic & heartfelt!! And when you add the memories that go with it-----IT'S BEYOND WORDS.

I can honestly say that nothing brings my spirits up like a Coro track or Cover Girls classic at high volumes!!!!!

I use to be on this site all the time when it first started. I used to be the youngest member at 16. Now I'm 17, and still love freestyle. I haven't been visiting so much, becuase I have been mad busy. It's great to see that I'm not the only kid into freestyle.

My 1 year old son ALWAYS moves his body when he hears Tamara's 'Never Gonna...' & George Lamond's 'Without You...slammin sam mix'. I don't know why? maybe cuz I overplay them 😀
 
MikeDelgado- I so friggen agree with you! You see, I have been trying to make that point so many times..The way you look at it, with the lyrics, is the same way I look at Freestyle. The love, romance, and even the heartbreak lyrics, capture you..No matter how short new Freestyle is, or the new sound..As long as it got that love..Its Freestyle to ME..I think its all about the words..So babe..I agree!!!

Kevin- Babe, you are surely not the only kid..😀...I am 13..And lovin Freestyle..Dammit, I am the youngest on this site..:blushing:..Shhhhhhhhh...LOL..I live on this site..It grew on me! You should be chillen here more often, its the best!
