People always hate the Yankees because of their history, mainly the number of championships they have won. Steinbrenner has owned the team for over 25 years, and he has been spending more money than all the other teams for all those years, and there many years the Yankees sucked. During the 1980's they didnt win anything. So I dont think people should hate them cause of the amount of money the owner spends to give NY the best team possible.

I like the Phillies, I have seasons tickets, I even have 2 minor-league players (A-ball) that stayed at my house this summer, so don't think I'm hating.

But the reason why no one talks about the Phils is 'cuz there's nothing to say. They were projected to win it all and (like my Yanks) they choked too.
 
all i hear on the news is the yankees they lost time to move on but they still they to talk about them like they are the only baseball team . im a die hard phillies fan and i dont like whats been going on bowa should of stayed he was not out there playin they should get rid of players and the owner ed wade .
 
The GM Ed Wade maybe should go, but Bowa is NOT the answer for Philly.

When they hired Bowa, the Philly management threw the Philly fans a bone to keep them "occupied" so maybe they didn't notice that they really sucked.

Management knew that Philadelphia LOVES Larry Bowa, so having him in uniform again would be great, but really... WHat did Bowa do to earn his post? He had no record of consistent success or ability.

It's like Steinbrenner hiring Mattingly as the manager 'cuz he knows NYC loves Donnie Baseball. That's all good but, does Mattingly = success? NOW WAY.

The Phillies pulled a fast one on their city and Philly fans bought into it.

I want the Phils to win but HALF the team has got to go.
 
i dont really care who wins my team has been out of it since baseball started lol but it would be nice to end a 86 year slide . if the red sox choke like the yankees did after being up 3 games to none it would be crazy.

I said it b4 and i will say it again...it all goes back to bloomberg. New Yorkers, I urge you, the next time you vote for the mayor of NYC, vote for someone who was born and raised in NYC, not someone from boston. There is a reason why the yanks haven't won..and it's bloomberg...we need to send his ass back to boston...they have their curse and now we have ours!! as long as that giant pinga is here in NYC, we won't win again!!!
