A fight broke out in the Longwood section of the bronx in a H.S. amongst 5 female students. Teachers got involved to separate the girls and break up the fight and they get arrested? The students were released on disorderly conduct and will just serve detention in school.

But why the hell were the teachers arrested when all they were doing was trying to break it up? What the hell is wrong with the system?

[font=Geneva,Arial,Helvetica][size=-1] A fight inside a Bronx high school Tuesday leads to the arrest of eight people, including two teachers.

Police say a faculty member at the New School for Arts and Sciences called 911 around 11:30 this morning to report a large fight had broken out in the girls' bathroom. When officers arrived on the scene, they arrested six female students ranging in age from 16 to 19.

However, when they attempted to remove the girls from the school, police say two teachers, including the original caller, blocked the doorway and would not let them leave.

Both teachers were also arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and released.
