Ummm I'm like 6 minutes from work! :lol

At one time I wasn't so lucky and had to travel over an hour back and forth to work with the traffic. I HATED it!!!!!!!!

Only cuz I have a serious case of road rage. :dlook

It depends on the job. If it was something I really loved, I would do it.

The job I currently have...mmmmmmmmmmmm........no!

Well I would do the math and see if the money compenstes the gas i spend each week gettin to the nwe job and back home. it could boil down to you makin what your makin now if not less. Also its a hr and 45 min commute....sounds like a 12 hour day...............that can get old quick.

Whare I live, Thats a common sanario, peeps workin hours from whare they live for that shinny nickle.

Workin in a job whare you do somthing you actuall enjoy and dont mind doing day after day.....................................PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!! Take the Job!!

^^Totally agree.^^

Plus, I don't want to spend the mojority of my 24 hour day in a vehicle, let alone at work! The sooner I get home the sooner I can actually enjoy the rest of my day.

PS: I could walk to my job and get there in 15 minutes- and that's on foot! Ahhhhhhh, I love it. 🙂 :sunshine

WOW, So it must be pretty hard comming up with a excuse for being late...Me its about a 10-20 minute drive on the Freeway, Very convienent in my neck of the woods. It seems like evry one I work with or work around faces about a hour of traffic each day.

I Travel 2 1/2 Hrs To Work And 2 1/2 Hours Coming Home A Total Of 5 Hrs Of Traveling. I Gave In My Two Weeks Notice Yesterday. Too Stressful And It Takes A Toll On You Emotionally And Physically. For The First Time In 2 Yrs I Am Starting To Be Truly Happy Because I Am Gonna Quit. Oh Yeah I Live In Pa And My Job Is In Ny. I Wouldn't Recommend It To No One.

IF ITS A JOB YOU ARE TRULY INTO THEN GO FOR IT!! THE COMMUTE DOES GET OLD THO, BUT IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT THEN DO IT. MY HUBS COMMUTES AN HOUR PLUS TO AND FROM WORK EVERY DAY AND WORKS 12 TO 14 HOURS. I HARDLY SEE HIM... WHICH IS A GOOD THING SOMETIMES!!! LMFAOOOOOO :losmile

TAKE THE FREAGIN JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dont let a chance like that slip you by!!! And If we find out your not tryin to push that freestye.....uururururrrrrrrrrrrr jk

The tops for me would be half an hour, given that this is w/o traffic congestion, and an hour with traffic! The cheaper the house value , the more you travel is the story in the bay area, I know of a guy who traveled 2 hours each way to and from his home, and it looks like to me, he was exhausted and wore out, so it really depends if you don't mind the lifestyle of being behind the wheel and coming home only to go to sleep and go to work 😉

I'm 5 min. away by car, and 15 to 20 min if i walk. I used to travel an hour and a 1/2 each way for almost 2 years, it does get tiring after awhile. The thing is that you can't have your cake and eat it too. Now i'm closer to home but i make less than when i had to travel an hour and a half. 🙁

Anyways, i say take it... that job seems like it may turn out to be a steppin' stone for bigger and better things.

i drive from Staten Island to the studio in connecticut (and back) it takes me about an hour & 40 minutes with no traffic, usually it takes me just over 2 hours with the usual traffic.

I say take it, then once your settled in the job maybe you can look for a place in that area or close by where the commute won't be as long. First get your foot in the door, once you know it's a done deal then start looking for a place in that area so you can save on time as well as money. Anyways, best of luck!!!
