hi,
i was making a tape today, and when recording 1 song in particular, i was wondering what are peoples least favourite freestyle songs? or which ones people just cant stand.
hopefully no one will argue here, cuz everyone's entitled to their own opinion. this may not even get on the board.

the song that made me think of this today was
SPIRIT MATTER - CRIMES OF PASSION 1987
killer beats by the bone-meister but the vocals are just so bad.

MUST
PLAY
THE
DUB!

hey everybody, i'm the one who started this and boy i'm regretting it. DRAMA!!!
remember when i said "hopefully no one will argue here, cuz everyone's entitled to their own opinion." well i guess that's exactly whats happenned here so i'm sorry.
i just thought it would be something interesting to talk about to get people's different perspective.
my freestyle collection may be completely different to someone else's collection in another part of the world. what may be slamming tracks to me might be someone else's most loathed song and vice versa.

also the key word in the thread was "song"..."what are peoples least favourite freestyle songs?"... not to slander the artist.

can't we all just get along!!!

Judging from the posts on this page it may be too late for me to get back to the topic but what the hell, here are three that quickly come to mind.
1."Backstabbers" on High Power's Greatest Freestyle Hits vol 2
2."Positive" on Luna Freestyle vol. II not only does this one suck but it's retarded probably like the guy who wrote it.
3.This one is a real slap in the face. The original from 1991 was outstanding Freestyle but what were the boys from DTU thinking when they did a re-make on "My Broken Heart" in 1993? It really sucks, pull my teeth....... please!

1.) It's a shame, because the original "Back Stabbers" sung by the O'Jays is a timeless classic. One of the original "Sound Of Philadelphia" groups. Try and find their Greatest Hits CD on the Gamble & Huff imprint, Philadelphia International and hear awesome R&B Soul like "Use Ta Be My Girl", "Love Train", "Livin' For The Weekend" and, "For the Love of Money".

High Power also released another shaky remake of another Gamble & Huff "Sound Of Philadelphia" classic, The Three Degrees' "When Will I See You Again (Precious Moments)". (Not to be confused with "When Will I See You Again" by TKA)

2.) I'm not going to even touch this one.

3.) The main reason you probably don't like DTU's remake of "My Broken Heart" is, because it is not DTU singing it.

The vocal group DTU, that originally relaesed the nasaly sung "My Broken Heart" on Tripodi records circa 1991, was made of cousins Anthony Ponzio, Anthony Santosusso, Johnny Genovaise.

When "My Broken Heart '93" was released on Tazmania Records, it was just Ponz singing in that weird voice, with Mykl Astorga of Pure Pleazure hitting the high harmonies

I think it's time for another sermon from Reverend Rhoq😛

LMAO

Get your donations ready for the collection plates...

Now what the fu*k did I do with my collar?

Ok, I have found my collar (Thank You Bella 😉 )...

My children, let us pray...

*AHEM - Let me clear my throat*

Brother FreeJack - MY BROKEN HEART '93 was OK, if you had never heard the original version on Tripodi Records, your opinion might be different.

Now while we are the subject of DTU - why the hell did they ever remake "OPEN YOUR EYES" on Taz 9? Now that my friends was pure blasphemy, an unjustice in the eyes of our Freestyle lord...Can I get an amen?

(Bella Plays her tambourine)

Yes, it is about that time, the collection plate is making it rounds. Please dig deep into your pockets, pull out all of the silver coins and green papers you can - US Curreny only, please. Show me how much you love Freestyle, by showing me the money, I mean by donating to our blessed house of worship.

Jason, I may be possessed by an unholy demon, but I liked Tony Garcia's High Power rendition of "WHEN WILL I SEE YOU AGAIN".

Demon be gone...

Damn, I can't believe I actually admited that in public! I feel so weak!

LOL

Ladies, it's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes!

Hit me one more time with an Amen...

Why do we not digest some of the musical offerings given to us by the prophets who have lost their ways?

Why are there so many songs about rainbows?

Why ask why?

For let us not think about all the bad and cynical, but let us ponder more about the happier melodies sung by the sirens and angels.

Remember, let who has not sinned, cast the first stone.
