UMMMMMM....im a spanish italian (im a full fledged GUIDO) andf i always hated DISCO. that was such an unthought comment you made. PUERTO RICANS WERENT THE ONLY ONES DOING FREESTYLE. NAYOBE WAS CUBAN and she made the sound an instant success with her flavor.

Kenny.. I dont think he ment that in a bad way:

hmmm

Well
maybe i misunderstood what I read. Its just that I love an aggresive outlook when it comes to this music.lol I am very passionate about freestyle music.Maybe he didnt quite communicate exactly what he was feelin.I dont know but I feel a little frustrated when I read Latifs opinion too.I felt this because I spoke to mr Latif on the telephone. That was a very major disappointment too.All he did was have a one sided convo with me and then try to direct me to "one of his guys over here" to get my cd and then he would "get back to me".What he doesnt realize is that I am very hungry and I am gonna eat at least 40 percent of Metro`s sales if not more.I called him with the idea of co-operating and sharing resourses. He instead wanted to do the ol` bottle neck theory......aka he will represent me and whom ever under me with a chance for me to eventually come up.I say what kind of bull shit is that.Come on mayn he aint the only one hustlin in tha game.Yet he didnt even ask me if I had a Job or if I make a good living.Instead he went on and on about what he has done, who he knows, what he thinks, what he likes, and if I cooperate with his idea....what MIGHT happen.I say screw that old school industry bullshit and treat me like you want to be treated or dont ask me to be involved. If you post a message inviting peepz to call you and you have it directed to people who are LOVERS of Freestyle and true MOVERS and SHAKERs then you had better believe that you just invited the kF.Yeah Im sure he has good intentions and truely loves freestyle music like me.But he HAS BEEN in the industry for years and all he has is wrapped up in one label/artist/one frame of thinking(musically and socially)where is the stylin free webby?where are the offers to independent artists to hook them up?Can get sum love or do I have to submit myself to one mayns will?Look I got a GREAT distribution deal and Ill put out anyone with a good DANCE cd(full length) and split it with them 60 to 40(i get 20 percent for the hook up ya dig?)
with out the money ever even touching my hands. All I want is some people to be down with SBI(non exclusive)

Its time for artists and producers to discover themselves instead of waiting for someone to see them, make them, exploit them, and then discontinue them.I say we do it like in HOLLYWOOD(big shout to my buddy Tolga)
In hollywood peepz get off on helping you.All they want is to be able to say"yeah I hooked `em up" and the actors, actresses, singers, writers, producers, video and whatnot are all doing NON EXCLUSIVE deals and sharing resourses. They arent saying hey kid I got the ideas I got the Plan, you can be down if I like what U got and then you can go through one of my guys whenever you want to do or try anything.Mayn thats pure bullshit and real people know it.I guess I am what you call "blue collar freestyle"
for realz
much luv to u Jack and Johnny and yes even Latif.

oh....i like the group LIME very much.....but i never really considered them disco for some reason. they came out way after disco was "dead" (in my opinion)

Texas what!!!

I can respect your opinion on what ever your views are but as to go and say there is no talent in Texas is wrong! I am from Chicago but live in Texas now so I know about the different music scenes that you speak of. Maybe Texas isn't a NYC or Chicago but there is alot of talent here!! It is a matter of time before Texas starts making crazy noise!

yep

There is mad talent in Texas!I have been there several times and I can honestly say that I wish I was closer.Jeannie(run away) is from Texas!Y`all should peep her song.

Interesting

It is quite interesting how Latif's initial post has sparked such a varied discussion of topics.
