my album is due out in september. late september. i might have it sooner. but i wanna give a later date so that way if its delayed its not that bad. lol

well i havent done a show in miami in about 2 years. would love to do another there sometime soon. my cd will be posted with all the song titles at the end of the week. hope u guys like it. the cover art should be posted also.

Solo artist full length freestyle album from an indie label? Rare, very rare. I hope its better than some of Artistik's other stuff. I did not like the y2k CD at all. 1 or 2 of the songs might've been good, but it wasn't worth the 15 dollars. What's up with all the planet pop space fillerz? I only wanna hear the hardcore shit.

well BarrioFreestyle, 2 bad reviews out of hundreds tell me different. too bad u didnt like the 2k1 series. but i gotta be doing something right if they are my hottest selling cds in about 4 years. as far as the hard core freestyle goes, i hardly do that any more. its not whats in. and just for th record i dont do that planet rock thing. Fans gotta learn the correct term. planet rock is used by tony garcia, ti-amo, and viper. there's a difference there. you gotta remember also its 2001 not the 80's...... Hey Andrea how are u? I am doing good. my album will have my older stuff like "one true love affair", "I'll never leave you", "no matter what", "cant take it anymore", "you", "how i love thee". and so on plus 5 new tracks. I'll let all of you know as soon as its ready in my hands. Primax, wow its amazing how you always joke around man. maybe someday you'll get funny.... (LOL).. its cool though. You still my boy...

I'm sad to hear u don't do the hardcore freestyle cause "it's not in" because there are still alot of hard core fans buying old school..and I luv old school but I guess Im not important enough to you Willie🙁
 
Looks like planet, sounds like planet, feels like planet. That's why so many headz call it "planet rock", but I wasn't calling it "planet rock". I was calling it "planet POP". "Planet ROCK" implies something positive. I am a true b-boy and still get down with planet rock. However, I don't like it when they put that cheezy sounding music over it. Artistik is quite guilty of that. Examples of good planet rock freestyle songs are: TLR-"Unforgiven Love" or Pure Pleazure-"Foolish Pride '99". For some reason, Artistik's latest stuff does not sound like freestyle (at least not the freestyle they play in my hood). Considering that this label is based right here in NYC, they should have their ears open to the streetz more. Freestyle is dead out here cuz people think a new freestyle CD is going to have that cheezy pop style. I know a lot of headz that use to buy Artistik compilations, but they stopped cuz they didn't like the music this label was putting out. Just please put freestyle out its misery and stop with that "Planet POP".
 
well this is what i do i mix the old with the new. so that way both parties are happy. and as far as the old school peeps that want that classic sound? well when we do put it out you guys dont buy it. it wasnt selling enought. not even 500 copies. so why should i dedicate an entire compilation to that old school hard core sound. who's gonna put food on my table and in my kids mouths if i do that? I will always love the old school sound but since u guys dont really support it i cant do much of it anymore. I still do it but not an entire album.. I dont consider my stuff that planet pop stuff you think it is but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am from ny and all my friends like freestyle from back in the days. they are TRUE hard core freestyle fans. and they always critic the stuff before I put it out. I would think they would tell me if it was cheesy planet pop stuff. I know all about the old school man. I used to go to roseland, 1018, la mirage, hearthrobs... i loved those days.. but who can u tell me is still doing that stuff? the only ones i know is the santana twins. and their stuff is good, but believe me they know its hard to sell. I commend them for not giving up on the old shcool sound. other than them? who else? look at the old school producers from back in the days..... Carlos Berrios, Tony moran, mickey Garcia, look at what they do now. face reality. I wanna do it but am i gonna stay in business if I do?? You got a job just as I do. I gotta make sure i do my job so i can atleast make some kind of money to survive. cause now adays in freestyle thats all we small labels can do is survive. there's no real money unless u got major backing. sorry.......
 
just for the record FreeztyleFanati i wrote i hardly do old shool not that I dont do it. I didnt give up on the old school heads. I still manage to do atleast 40 percent old school on the cds. always will....
