Why We Should All Be Thankful...

The other night I watched Diane Sawyer's interview with Oprah Winfrey. Last year, Oprah went to South Africa and let me tell you, this interview was so educational and eye-opening. The children there have NOTHING. Most of them are orphans whose parents have died of AIDS. They literally live alone in huts that are open...so that if it rains, it rains on them. They were saying that on Christmas, these children walk miles just to see if they can get a BALLOON!!! How sad is that?? Well, Oprah went there and brought toys and clothes for so many children plus she is going to sponsor some of them....I think that's wonderful. Some of these kids were really remarkable...they got a pair of jeans and they thought they were the luckiest people in the world. What does they say for us? We tend to complain when we cant get more and more...yet they really have nothing. Anyway, this trip is going to be chronicled on Oprah's show this coming Monday at 4...I highly recommend that everyone watch it or tape it....it's so educational and inspiring.
