Hey whose cooking for Thanksgiving? 🙂 Yep! I had to bring this up already. We're already into November and it's around the corner. Im cooking. My daughter and daughter in law both want pernir (roast pork). So this year I will be making one but I'm still making a turkey. Of course I have to make potato salad and I have to have my rice and pigeon peas. I will make a nice caesar salad too. Sweet Potatoes too. Cranberry sauce for the turkey. And my mom is planning on making pasteles. Wow.........I just love Thanksgiving!

So are you cooking, going out to eat at a family members house and taking something with you? Hey what's for desert? :blah

OOOOHHH!! I know gandules. Gurl, you should of said that first. LOL the PigeonPeas is what threw me off!! Is that what they are called in English!!
 
Damn.. Im gonna be solo for Turkey day.. Hubby is away in school in SC till Dec and I'm up here in Hickville -Watertown, NY solo.. NO fam.. No personal friends.. no nada! Damn.. I could go for some arroz con gandules / Pasteles.. and all the damn good Puerto Rican stuff! 🙁
 
Well it looks like I'm cooking for Thanksgiving. My mom called me and told me she doesnt feel like doing it this year. I will be making the traditional turkey, rice w/ gandules, yams, pasteles. A couple of apple pies and a pumpkin pie. The pasteles are actually gonna get done next weekend.

Hey girl, no family or friends? Are you serious? That's sad. We need to meet and we can be friends. You're welcome to arroz con gandules, pasteles, pernir, turkey, etc. But you're pretty far from Manhattan right?

Yea.. im NORTH of Syracuse..! Im Like 6 hrs driving to the City! But we can still be friends! 🙂 All my family and friends live in Florida.. thats where I am from.. well was until I married Reber..
