I like about two of his songs but I too and not a strong fan of his lmao
 
It's funny because Frankie J said that George Lamond is his idol. He grew up listening to GL's songs and would imitate him. He loved GL's singing so much that he wanted to sound like him. I saw this on an interview. If you look at Frankie J perform, he does a lot of things like GL.

Frankie J is Awesome!!! But He Tributes George by Immitating His Vocals,
and Style very well, I might add! Now that's a True George Lamond Fan!
If George Wanted to be that Mainstream He could.. Alot of his
Unreleased Material...is So Much Better Than on ony one of Frankie's
Cd's...But Much Respect to Frankie cuz he truly is Awesome..i Have
mainly purchased his Cd's because precisely he sounds like George!

nahh im not pa...yo i see george quite a bit and i have analyzed and come to that conlusion they have similar features & characteristics..for real.lol 😉

Its funny becayse Frankie J has reminded me of George. I dont really think it's fair to see who is better because I consider their styles to be different. Frankie J is more of an R&B singer and George does his freestyle and salsa thing. They are both very talented guys, but George Is #1 to me.

Well he idolizes George, so of course he wants to have the same image. Which is a positive thing. 🙂
 
I heard Frankie J got started in freestyle first before doing R&B but he quit doing freestyle because he was frustrated with the business in freestyle. Does anyone know anything about that?
 
It's true !!! Well let me tell you from what I remember Frankie J started his music career in college with freestyle artists Felix (''Don't Cry Over Him'') & Leticia ("Why Do You Treat Me Badly") he was first featured on the college cd project "SOH Music Tech ... Of An Original Persuasion" (yup it's very rare)
He latter went on to record with Maximum Records in canada under the name of Frankie Boy which he had several hits like ''My Precious Love'', ''Margarita'' and others. He did a record with Irene and Roman titled "Ooh La LA La'' (another rare one) for popular records (Canada) then he went on to record with H.O.L.A. records under his REAL NAME Frankie Bautista and released the latin dance single ''Fiesta'' that had a bass / freestyle mix done by no other than the cibola remix team. Then he turned to Frankie J I guess now you guys can tell me the story from there on cause I don't know it lol
One funny thing is he's been using that stage name for over a year or so and I think that maybe last year he had some freestyle singles released in germany under his nick ''Frankie Boy''
