whole song or some song

I have a question for everyone in here. I was just wondering if when you've listened to a dj mixed cd, do you prefer a song to be let go for a while or do you prefer a song to be cut off way ahead of time in a mix? Some dj's due to their style which is ok only let a song play for a short period and others let one go longer. Its the difference of having either 25 songs or 14 songs on an 80 minute cd. So what do you prefer? I am curious. Antonio

I rather have 14 songs on a cd compilation than 25 songs that is more quicker than a one minute man. Keep it potent baby..make it an orgasmic night...keep it long!!! :stoned

I am gonna have to agree with Ant on this one, I would rather hear the whole song. Nothing pisses meoff more than when I am getting into a song and then it's cut off lol

Definitely play the whole song....sometimes the best part is at the very end.

theres something to be said for both.... sometimes I wanna hear songs longer, if they're good songs.... sometimes I wanna hear 1,000 songs cut in & out in the mix, like "Bits & Pieces", just depends.. :dj

so true Sietz....some songs have hot break beats that blend nicely with other break beats. And if the DJ is nice...and the song selections are real good, I Dont mind them broken up.


For songs that are hard to find....I like them in the full length version.

I like the songs to be longer, and the "distictive" parts to be on.....

Like FFWD "Baby Don't Go".....I've heard mixes where they fade out before all the edits come on.....Ba Ba Ba ba, baby don't go....

Keep those parts on the mix.

I'd rather here the whole song because I like to sing along to songs I really like & if all i can learn is the 1st verse & chorus if I hear the song in a mix...when I finally hear the whole song..all I'll be able to sing to is the first part until I learn the whole song.

I mean seriously. How many times have you bought a cd for a lot of money and been sold short on an awesome song on it? I'd rather see the dj make up two cd's and have whole songs instead of partials.

I think Mega mixes are the cds that have 1-1 1/2 minute songs lol
