Vouging to Freestyle @ Hearthrob's or the Devils nest? Does anyone remeber who the dancers at the Devil's Nest were? They had some awesome steps....

Also remember getting down @ the LQ... Miss those dayz 🙁

It was probably the Pato's holdin' it down...since Voguing started in the Gay clubs. Madonna just made it infamous.

That's how she found her dancers for the Blonde Ambition tour. She'd be at the clubs scouting all the hotties.......and they appeared in her "Vogue" and Truth Or Dare.
 
Wow! You missed a lot. But let me tell you, freestyle was mad underground but still had a world wide audience. But anyway.. the music lives on!!!
 
You bet but at that time wasn't exactly know as freestyle yet (a little before), but were fierce vougers at Hearthrob's. I was all bee-boyed out though but I always though they had nice moves, especially this one fag-hag cutie latina. A little heavy set but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in' smooth on that dance floor 🙂

But like everything, I think vouging started in the Bronx like the kids near Simpson Street and the hang out crew at Orchard beach. I think it comes from "Webo" dance but not really sure, it's ghetto and was picked up in the gay scene. But Madonna was mad late 🙄

LOL @ Orchard Beach! Hell yeah. That's the spot right there. I've spent endless summers at the O. Beach. It ain't about getting in the water, it's about sunbathing and chillin' on the board walk watchin' all the hotties pass by, getting sprayed with the Super Soaker's, getting whistled at.....Freestyle/Salsa playing in the background, handball courts packed....City Island for drinks afterwards....
