There are alot of good ones here but I had to go with Stevie since he has had more CDs released than the others mentioned. Tony Moran /Latin Rascals, TKA and George are way up on the list too.

But I would have to go with TKA... when it comes to Freestyle... definitely.

(sorry Lamondfan, I know... George is the man, but I had to go with TKA).

and i also agree with Angel Prince o the Title King of Freestyle Business for Sal.

For Kings my vote would go to TKA.
 
Sal A Did Put One Hell Of A Label Together And It Had Some Of The Biggest Hits Of Freestyle On It..

Latin Rascals Were Known For Inspiring Alot Of Dj's To Use A More Broader Selection Of Music And Even Took Edit Mixing Mainstream And Incorporated It Into Freestyle.

But,
chris Barbosa Did Produce The Track That Went Global And It Is Still Accepted Today....
 
yeah no doubt sal is the man!!!! the great thing is that he doesnt act like hes as important as he really is or was!!! hes a mentor to alot of us in the business.
 
My choice would definitely have to be George LaMond, although I have a lot of love for all the other choices. I just think that George has a combination of everything...mainly talent, as well as charisma, stage presence, and looks. But his voice is just so beautiful to me..whether he is singing in English or Spanish...ballads or dance tracks. He has it all!!

Based on the artists given, here's my ranking:
GEORGE LAMOND
TKA
TONY MORAN
CORO
STEVIE B
ADAM MARANO
WILLIE VALENTIN
JOHNNY O
JOEY KIDD
TIMMY T

My list is based on the following criteria. The most important criterion has to be an artist's voice and the second most important criterion is the repeat value of a song. Based on those criteria, GL gets my vote. He is the most vocally talented Freestyle singer ever and no other artist has more repeat value. No one else compares. The idea that the king should be decided by who put out more CDs is flawed. It's about quality, not quantity. Heck, Weird Al Yankovic, an artist in his own right, released about 20 albums, but I wouldn't call his music quality! TKA is second, but I think a distinction needs to be made since the vocalists changed from Scars of Love to Louder Than Love. I never personally cared for Scars... barring the title track. Tony Moran is third...I think he has the second best voice, but he has less repeat value than TKA. It seems he made great music for everyone else...maybe he should have held on to some of the stuff he wrote and produced? Coro is fourth.
As for the rest of the list, I know Stevie B. is probably the most recognized of all the others, but I never cared for his voice because he doesn't have much range. Willie V., Joey Kidd, and Adam Marano have had a few really good hits, but are just plain mediocre otherwise. I never liked Johnny O.'s or Timmy T.'s voices or songs. I think it would be more accurate to state that Timmy T. has his own BEAT, not beats.
 
I love Freestyle till my dying day, BUT........how can there be a KING and Queen of Freestyle when the people you name do not even have Freestyle music coming out anymore. That does not make sense to me.

the undisputed king to me would be george lamond ,with stevie b a close second noel and coro tied at third ,the question of this thread is who is the king so a group being placed in this category is unfair but thank you for the mention
