OK I know that this is a freestyle forum but I also know that many of you listen to Rap or have friends or kids that listen to rap I just want opinions really.

Last night I was watching MTV videos right, Well they just happened to play Eminems and D12's song My band and I mean what the hell is that that must be the worse song ever, I cant even call it rap because to me it just makes me :barf to even think they would have such a song like that. Yea many of you find it funny but seriously come on its stupid thats not Rap at all, and how about the way there are so many artist going after each other for one Irv Gotti's The Inc ~VS~ G- Unit and they supposably hate each other but Take what each other are doing Ja rule sang in so many of his songs and now thats what G unit is doing first off thats not rap There actually trying to sing. OH BOY!!!:bangbang If they wanted to be singers be an R&b singer not a rapper. I just think that it truelly is sad that they are all begining to rap about the same thing GIRLS which they call B*tch^s, Hoes, Money, cars, clothes and homes. I mean seriously its wasting before our eyes and ears. Rap isnt Rap anymore period.

SO SAD

i like eminems song... & the video is so funny !! & I LOVE HIP HOP!!!! :dancingb

Joe at least someone agrees with you on this subject huh 😉

Ive been listening to rap for a long time and I personally don't like where its headed.

My 2 Younger brothers are workin on some stuff wirh Reek Daddy and JT the bigga figga, they might be doin things with MaC Dre soon. Me, I out grew that stuff, in Central Cali alot of azn gangs listen to freestyle just as much as they listen to rap. Freestyle is from the streets too , you can hear it in the beats.
+ You get more attention from the ladys if you pull up bumpin freestyle then rap--lol

same here i miss run dmc L L cool J etc now most of them just rap about who has the most bling bling females etc they rap about anything makes me say i can be out there makin money but i cant sing so i will keep my :dj JOB for now.

Joe you can probably get in to rap even if you cant sing look at LLoyd banks, JA rule and others
WOOOhooo for Joe LOL just try it it seems that thats what rap is turning in to.

I'm sorry but I can't stand that damn song "My Band"...I get so annoyed when I hear that shyt or see the video. I like Eminem but in this song & video he looks like a jackass.

eminem is a queer...i mean the guy hate's gay people/tranny's w/e but then his dressing like a female???Wtf is going on hahaha...rap is wacc

I feel the same way EZE what the hell one minute hes talken about gay people and then you see him as a female this is ridicoulas Im with you on that one. Oh yea Philly Gurl I hear you that is the worse thing Ive ever seen in my life. Back to what I was saying where is Rap going,

Lets face it. The only Rap/Hip Hop I listen too is the classics like LL Cool J and RUN DMC. That was when rap was good and creative. Nowadays, you can't tell Chingy from Usher. Eminem is no better than Justin Timbelake. Hip Hop is now Hip Pop. It's all Gangsta RnB. It's all about the airplay, it's all about the money.Yes, Hip Hop wanted to move in a better direction in 1998 with the death's of Tupac and Biggie. But sadly, it's all GLAM. Lil Kim is nobetter than Britney(both give me hard ons.LOL). But hip hop is hard core POP now.

:confused.... Hip hop is the complete opposite of Pop... also People are judging the music, but only on whats heard on the radio, There are alot of good songs that were never released ....Its the same with freestyle & pop music, ....

Of course there is some good stuff out there Black Eye Peas, Outkast and Common are in my opinion the best Hip Hop acts out right now. They are very experimental and creative. But lets face it, there are a host of really crappy Hip hop records out there. Like two years ago there was some really bad Dance records around that almost cost me to lose interest in DJing.
