hey everyone,
im new here but have surfed the site before. what i really found interesting is (in the usa) how accessible freestyle and its artists are locally. ive read on the boards things like, i talked to johnny o last nite and he told me... or me and trinere are friends and she said... which i find really cool. especially in this world of
(stupid)stardom we have all these great recording artists who are still real people.

what i would like to know is where do you guys get your records today when your searching for that lost classic? are freestyle records available in used shops or dj vinyl record stores? what would be the average price for a non-rare item? here in toronto, canada you rarely ever find any good freestyle used and cheap (how i like my records). if you do, then you happened to be at the shop at the right time when some dj brought in his crates of vinyl to get rid of them. then they wouldnt last long.

i made the very stupid mistake of getting rid of a lot of my freestyle that was released after 1990. why...i was going through an indentity crisis i supppose. i really really regret it and am trying to buy back the toons i had.

trying to remember all the titles is not easy either. anyone know of any online databases of peoples collections to go through titles?

any help would be cool.
thanks

well in my personal opinion...i try to stay away from d-loading unless i cant find the song anywhere...

but ebay has been good to me...amazon.com gets me the new stuff that is released...and then there are the small record stores in the area...they tend to have more freestyle than the bigger stores
