Guys, what is Tony doing these days?
We all sent in emails, etc.. to get his show back on the air..
But I havent heard anything after that.
Any luck it will come back? Is Tony doing another show?
 
Jack, in addition to the Freestyle Frenzee on Sundays, Monaco also did the afternoon shift on weekdays on Z103. His freestyle show was cancelled but I don't think he was fired from the station. I believe he's still doing the afternoon shift. However, since I work during the day, I can't verify this.
 
i wish i could answer this... hmm i dont listen to the radio... but i do still hear him when i do.. i still think he does the wednesday LTA from Menage... and um... yeah I heard him, I'm sure he's still doing his thing on Z just not the Frenzy
 
I only listened to him cuz he did the Frenzy other than that I don't really listen to 103 that much anymore :crap
 
Well of course it wasn't Tony's decision to cancel the freestyle frenzy. Given only a day or so's notice of the cancellation there wasn't time for a formal goodbye show, etc. Sunday afternoon's just aren't the same anymore without the frenzy, Years and years of cruising and listening to the freestyle beats between 5 and 6 on a nice sunday afternoon up dufferin LOL Anyways you can still catch a lot of good freestyle at Club Menage wednesday nights, Monaco is there, he is also there friday nights although wednesday nights are the best nights to hear some freestyle. He also does the regular afternoon show every day on 103.5

Thanks for the concern Jack but all is well with The MonacoMan. I'm still on air weekdays from 1-4pm on Z103. The station plays variety and still classic freestyle in the daily mix. No new freestyle has really been added. The closest thing to new frestyle would be flavoured breaks from acts like david Guetta and BT. Aside from that we have to rely on the classics to get our fix these days and some are featured everyday. I'm also still active in the clubs including Menage(wednesdays) Illusions(fridays-formerly paparazzi) and Hotel on saturdays. Both Menage and Illusions feature sets of freestyle. So we don't have the hour vehicle for pushing the freestyle beats anymor on air but we now have to take the underground approach and still try and represent in the clubs. All the best to everybody on CF and keep the vibe alive any way shape or form possible.
 
hey tony monaco can you please please play dj sl vs zoe crying over you put it on pump it or dump it and see if people like it ive been requesting that song on the z web site but no one has played it yet i love the old stuff but at least have one new freestyle song hope you reply back

Sorry to bring this up back from the dead but finally remembered my log in combined with the fact of suffering from freestyle withdrawl on the radio stations here I've almost burnt holes through my hundreds of freestyle cd's haha
 
I missed your reply to this thread Tony. It is great to gear that you are doing fine and still on the scene. When I think of Freestyle in Toronto..I think of Monaco. Simple as that. You deserve Big Props for your mad love for freestyle!
