In the morning I wake to a beautiful sunrise.
The rays coming through the shade.
If it were Spring,
What a beautiful day it would be.
I can feel the warmth of the sun,
And the light breeze.
I’m on my way over,
He’s waiting for me.
We’re taking a drive to the lake
Holding hands while having conversation.
Etching this time into my memory
Wishing this lasts forever.
Walking the bike path,
Holding each other close
Listening to what
He loves about me the most.
It’s been so long
And though it feels so right
He holds me closer
While I close my eyes.

Just under a tree
It starts to rain,
And he kisses me.
So precious, so sweet
The sun pushed the clouds away
While our lips
Remain in ecstasy
This young new love
The sun has given me
Gives me hope
Makes me happy.
Emotions fill up
I cannot contain
I want to let the world know
What he means to me.
I want the world to know
His name.
If I could I’d yell it out
To the whole world!
How he’s made me feel
So special to him
That is something
I’d LOVE to hold
To be with him forever
Is that too much to ask for?
