i think k7 is very talented,i was impressed with some
of the songs he did on the new tka album.but i was expecting him to
do some R&B music, because he did record some R&B on the swing batta swing album, two of the songs were, beep me and hang on in there baby.he also did R&B on his second album with TKA louder than love.two of the songs were i wont give up on you,are you for real.k7 has alot more to offer than what he has recently shown.but he has shown that he can do a variety of genres.his recent album tka forever was more of a pop album.i gave it on a scale of 1 to 10,a 5.i feel im a big fan of tka,but i have to be honest,TKA would sound much better doing R&B or ,maybe even latin music.but what ever tka decides to do it is up to them, and i respect and applaud them for opening the doors for alot of the cross over latin artist we have now.i think with the right management they can go far, especially now that g lamond is teaming up with them, there is even more of a chance the world will soon recognize all the talent each member strived so hard to expose to the public.good luck TKA keep representing!

sincerely tony also, the up and coming artist youll someday know about.😎

Uhhhhh..Yeah...They are....LOL! I agree with Boriqua..😉

Now if K7 or all 3 of them decides to do something new like they did for their newest albulm TKA FOREVER..Im for it too..🙂

this is for el boricua,i understand once you establish yourself at
one particular genre of music, its hard to break away from that, because that is what the fans expect from you.but i feel
like if they branch into different genres of music, they would expand to a bigger audiance, and its not selling out,its being business savvy.but lets not forget the fan base.an artist has to both maintain his old and new fan base.so it would be wise for k7 to
do two songs of each genre of music in his album.the same thing he did on swing batta swing.heres an example,he did (beep me),(hang on in there)those are considered R&B,if you ask anyone.heres another example k7 did 2 freestyle songs.(body rock),(ill make you feel good)
then he did rap,and reggea,(move it like this),(come baby come)and he did a dance pop song,(lets bang)it helped him sell more units than he ever sold when he was with TKA,i understand his record went gold.right now it could be plattinum.the important thing is that this tactic enabled him to maintain his old fan base, and grow and expand with a new fan base.im not saying for tka to be strictly an R&B group, but to do a little more R&B music, but at the same time have all other genres of music in your album as well.because they have to be loyal to the freestyle fan base too.but they shouldnt concentrate specifically on freestyle music, because that music genre is not going anywhere,so TKA should keep their options open to other genres.thats just my opinion, and its a logical thing for an artist to do,if he wants to be sucessful.im an artist, myself.i think i see it from a different point of view.we all have opinions so tell me what you guys at cf think?peace out fellas

sincerely tony also the up and coming artist youll soon know about..

i think tka's last album was off the hook....not freestyle not r+b.......they got their own style and thats whats great about them!!!if tka did completely r+b it wouldnt be tka...thats y they split in the first place cuz they wanted to try different sounds and couldnt do so as tka....i myself am pleased with the forever album and cant wait to see whats coming fro the joint venture with george lamond..

i agree that tka, split up partially because of the fall out of freestyle music, and they wanted to try different sounds.i just think
they have more variety, than just freestyle that is my point.they impressed me with,(love conquers all).they showed that they have grown musically,in the forever album, and i respect the change of ideas.but i still feel that they are better than the last album.
i support those guys, because they are talented artist,so what ever they do i know they do it with their heart and soul.they are great performers too,and i want to see them on MTV someday.

sincerely tonyalso take care one!

i have to agree with you on this tony, they are very talented, they will branch out take my word on that.i told them personally back in 1992 when they broke up as a group they would get back together, and if people love them now they always will, plus they need more exposure something that has been going through there minds from day one.it will happen.i love them the're great on and off stage.just good men, they deserve all of god's blessings.

they totally are very talented....but i dont think they should become an r+b group. They make people dance and make people feel emotion with their music. they r latin hip-hop. i would love to see them on mtv as much as i would love to see other great artists like cynthia, judy, coro,.the list goes on.. i get frustrated because they dont get treated fairly in the industry. and thats not right. but thats the world we live in today....The forever album was one of the best albums released last year and a whole lot better than the garbage that was put out....its all about the promotion not the music. the music is there and it kicks ass, it just needs alot of money to get it heard!!!!

so colleen do you think TKA will do a little bit of R&B on their next project with g lamond?i know before k7 got back with TKA he was on a mix tape that dj skribbles did, called the traffic jam.i think
k7 did a collaboration with g lamond,if im not mistaken called ill do anything.in the back ground of the chorus you can hear g lamonds voice,i know how g lamond sounds so im 90%sure its him.all i know is that K7 sang on one of jay z hiphop instrumentals, and he sounded like a new artist.i didnt know it was him until i bought the cd and saw k7 name next to the song.he impressed me because i didnt know it was him right away.so he can do it all.you know who i thought was singing?i thought it was the force mds, because of the style.lol!i think k7 was probably influenced by that group,in his earlier years.lol!i wonder what k7 is going to say when he reads about the topic that i posted?i guess well just have to wait and see.god bless TKA,and everybody at this site trying to do what is right for all our latin brothers in the musc industry.they deserve our support.

sincerely tonyalso.

mellow i agree with you100%,so you are saying that they didnt release the right songs and the album wasnt promoted the way it shoudve been?i read that they put all the money into the promotion.
they recorded it on their own terms before joining with tommy boy.i also read that joey gardner wanted them to do another greatest hits album, which was only going to allow them 1 new song.on the album, tka didnt agree,so they split with joey and joined silverman,i think thats his name.i respect the struggles that they went through to get to where they are now.the freestyle artist dont get treated fairly,i agree with you,i think the industry probably labels them into one catogory, and they dont allow them to really see the potential that they want to show the world they have.i think thats why so many freestyle artist venture in the latin salsa market, before they go to the english mainstream market.g lamond has had the best of both worlds.so this should be a step up for tka.but still g lamond has been successful in english music, but not like nsnc or backstreet boys, but he has the talent to get there.alot of these latin artist we have are alot better than these so called cross over singers.but tka and g lamond will soon see the light of day.because they have what it takes to make it

sincerely tony also..peace out one!

I'm thinking more or less that this new GL/TKA collabo is gonna sound something similar to a combo of K7/Tybless' last years release, "Love Sex Money", and TKA's "Forever" album, but with possible R and B stuff in it. I'm hoping for some freestyle. I think that with todays new hip hop and R & B, that it is possible for a producer to come up with a freestyle sound for today that can also be in that genre.

well, im hoping that he does somethibg unique, and soulful.its true what you said orgntr1,hip hop and R&B has changed that they probably can come up with something that fits in to the hip hop genre, with freestyle music, maybe.what ever they do,is up to them.but it would
be interesting to see a freestyle artist do a transition to R&B music.what ever music they decide to do im going to be behind them 100%.they should try doing 2 songs of one genre,2 other songs of another genre, just to show the world what they are capable of doing, thats is what i want to see from them, the flexibility in music styles.

sincerely tony also.one..the up and coming musician youll soon know about, you probably do by now.lol!!

Not it is NOT..GL himself said it will be FREESTYLE..🙂

So guys..watch out...This is what u wanted..this is what your gettin...🙂

Not too sure if the whole albulm would be that way..But thats all I got while typing my ass away in the chat room..LOLOL

I say lets let them do what they do best, make music they are all very talented men and have proven that in whatever they do they can be successful maybe not to everyones liking but they have shown there diversity and shown true talent in the forms and styles of music they have tapped into Forever was a gret combo of songs GL's cross over into latin music was beyond successful so I am sure they will give there fans something special. Best of luck guys.

yes tony kay can pull any sound off,and i'm not just saying that, because we at one point in time were friends.don't get me wrong i still think of him as a friend, but through time people lose track.i last saw him last year in october at backdrafts.it was short, but sweet.as for the future of tka, they will go as far as they want to.r&b sure why not?like i said before any sound.what i'm not getting and maybe you can help me out is,what's going on with angel of the group to whom i knew before kay,and tony thats how i met the rest of the guys.i have'nt heard a thing? please share on this. take care talk soon

i think, from what i read about angel,he wasnt as dedicated as he shouldve been.he wasnt going to the studio on a consistent basis.he preferred to hang out more.he didnt live up to his potential.i heard from a statement k7 made that, angel was suppose to sing most of the songs on louder than love album.but he didnt even sing any but once on any one in love.i dont know exactly why he got kicked out of the group.but it seems that those might be the reason he got removed from the group.

i read the same, but it just sounded more like kay was venting.wow he really did get the boot, well maybe thats not so bad, i know angel he'll do something on his own.there's going to be alot of girls upset over this.as for me,them as a group i love them all the same.never picked a favorite, because i enjoy each of there styles.my mother who is 57 loves tka's music she has her own cd's,tapes from way back.if my mom groves from the sounds of them then they really have something special.so tony you said that your up and coming, how's it going for you?what sound are you putting out?well best of everything to you,and god bless.talk to you soon,be good
