This weekend, VH1 added another show to the When it Ruled series. This time it was Disco. It was a great show. They had KTU's Joe Casi on the show. I love disco, if you a Freestyle or House fan, you have to love disco. That's where it all started. Man I wish I was old enough to get into Studio 54. :shush

Disco is the shit. There's nothing like it.....If you look at my avatar, I'm truly representin' one of Disco's best- Donna Summer. And also a Boston native.

I envy those that we able to chill at Studio 54, the Paradise Garage, the Ice Palace...able to see First Choice, Loleeta Halloway, Vicki Sue Robinson..

I'm 27, and when I listen to that shit on a Friday night...I feel like I was TOTALLY a part of it...

Disco forever, baby...

"I love the nightlife, I like to boogie"

Watched the show. Loved it.

I also love that Donna Summer is still going strong. I am still banging her last song "You're So Beautiful."

France Joli, Love & Kisses, Freddie James and D Train , yeah !!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, got excited there,lol....

i am old enough to remember problem is when i was going to school the last thing u wanted to admit to was liking disco either get beat up or get labeled "gay" i even brought in a copy of saterday night fever for a disco album breaking event(it was so worn😉 bought a new copy

Ed

That was the point of Disco Sucks. They say the deal was , disco was crappy and it was outselling Rock. Not really;

" I found the whole disco sucks movement to be racist and homophobic"

Nile Rogers
Chic bassisr, producer.

Many thought Disco was too gay and too black since the black and gay clubs was where disco originated from.

Many gave disco credit on how well produced those songs were. Geogio Meroder did a great job in producing all of Donna Summers tracks. many of them were great song writers. Even the Village people, those were fun songs to listen too. :dpeace

everyone in my entire school listened to Kiss, ACDC, DefLepard, etc, etc while I was listening to disco and I was proud of it... 🙂

I wish KTU was still streaming. I like listening Joe Casi's show before Judy. I'm glad to see he was on the special since he was playing all those records on the old KTU(Disco 92) :jiggy
