Also Miami's lyrics are more "happy" as in new loves 'n' this 'n' that! (although, there are exceptions).

NY's are more rugged & darker in they're lyrics...mostly about break ups, cheating & the like (again, there are exceptions here too).
 
I would have to agree with El Dulce and Putana......tropical and happy feel to it compare to much darker lyrics and underground beats
 
I basically agree with everyone. While I'm pro-New York freestyle, there are certainly some slammin Florida stuff out there too. Some of the Florida stuff is rugged. Not quite like the NY stuff, yet does have some rugged qualities to it. Examples are "Love Is Blind" by Los Sucious......."Don't Ever Go Away" by Jeanette......."What Goes Around" by 4-Real...........While they dont have crazy multi-edits, they are more "in-your-face" than the typical Florida freestyle. On that note, I do like the "softer" stuff too. "Its not too late" by Sequal is actually one of my favorites, as is "I Want You" by Teaz II Plaez.....😛

Maiami - Slightly more Euro and Tropical falva like CM Dance "Off the hook" (who remembers that BTW?) or stuff by Expose

NY Freestyle is more slammin and has more bass hits. I.e. "Temptation" by Corina & "Together Forever" Lissette Melendez. NY Freestyle has more of an attitude.

Both are great....Freestyle tracks have so much meaning!!! Freestyle takes you back so many years to a time when you realized you were becoming a man (or woman). If you're my age (25), Freestyle reminds you of the thoughts you had when you first wanted someone and, well, she was unattainable. If we only knew then, what we know now!!!!
