It was never a single but one of the greatest Freestyle ballads (in my opinion) is "He'll Never Know" by Sweet Sensation. It used to take my breath away. In terms of singles... I'll go with "Promise Me" or "I Still Believe" are definitely good choices. "If Wishes Came True" used to do it for me too!
