The first Freestyle CD I ever bought was AFTER DARK FREESTYLE. I held out until 1996 to buy a CD player!!! Before then I would buy most compilation on Tape :-(

The reason being was that when CDs became popular, you would always hear talk of how vinyl would be eliminated one day soon due to CDs, so I had a personal boycott going, LOL...Then one day, labels started releasing albums that were CD only, such was the case with After Dark, so I gave in...

Now, I am very upset that I had held out so long because I have some great shit on tape that would be better to have on CD and as most of you know - it is almost impossible to find that stuff now!!!

My very 1st freestyle tape was Stevie B. WOW I remember those young summer days.

my first cd was a micmac dance comp...u know the yellow one with dont look back, i have dreams, and tears of tears...ohhhhhh the memories!!!!

1. TKA's Greatest Hits
2. Freestyle Boom (mixed by Schommer)
3. Freestyle Parade Vol. 1 & 2 (double pack)

Not at the same time. I was so anti-CD when I was deejaying.

i believe my friend burned me a freestyle cd with alot of classics like

fantasy girl, spring love, take me in your arms, change on me, summertime summertime, come into my arms, their were mroe but i can't remember now

Law2K1 - As of now, I have been able to replace a lot of my tapes with a CD, but I would really have to think about the other stuff I would want on CD because I have quite a few tapes...

I think my first CD was from Saphire 🙂 I really love here music!

WOW MY FIRST FREESTYLE RECORD WAS LISA LISA & CULT JAM'S, CAN YOU FEEL THE BEAT! LOVED IT.
MY SECOND AND BY FAR MY GREATEST INSPIRATION: JUDY TORRES' LOVE STORY. I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM 4 TIMES DURING THE COURSE OF A FEW YEARS AFTER HAVING THEM BREAK AND POP FROM CONSTANT USAGE. NOW WITH MODERN TECHNOLOGY, I WAS ABLE TO TRACK DOWN A COPY ON CD AT BORDERS.COM. I MADE 2 BACK UP COPIES AND HAVE FRAMED THE CD SO ALL CAN SEE BUT NOT TOUCH!
JUDY, IF YOU READ THIS I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT YOU ARE STILL MY "MICHAEL JACKSON" AND MY GREATEST INSPIRATION (OTHER THAN MY MOM!).

I am totally sorry but I can't remember the first Freestyle record, cd or tape I ever bought. Now I feel bad. I was a house deejay back in '85 so I started with Jack Trax. Ralphi Rosario, Fast Eddie, Adonis, Farley Funk & Bad Boy Bill. As freestyle hit Chicago I can only remember buying Mic Mac, so I guess I'd have to say Johnny O, Cynthia, And More, Soave & Tiana. So I would just have to say Mic Mac Records. BTW does Sequal count?
