Elear.. I merged it in.. please do not start new threads. Once you post to a thread..it automatically goes to the top of the forum.

And on another note..

I luv ya.. but I am sick of hearing how freestyle died.

I don't think it's cold dead.

If we stay positive and put in some effort.. I think we can help.

I see many Freestyle shows up here in New York these days.
People like freestyle. Just make some good stuff, and get out on the dam street and yell. It's not going to be handed to us. It takes work, action and persistence.

No Talk, Just Freestyle!

nice new slogan 🙂

-- I must give credit to Kenny Freestyle for taking the No Talk, Just Freestyle approach.

GUYS

So who do we trust? How can we stop this from happenning to Freestyle again?

Hey Elear, I heard the same exact sh*t when I spoke to MARSHALL JONES ("I Burn")...

Who, right now is the No#1 Freestyle artist and what label is she/he down with?

Maybe we can ask that person how they're doing?

INFINIT

Freestyle(And Any Other Form Of Music) But Mainly Freestyle,Is All About Politics Man...
Just All Around B.S. And Corrupted Sh*t 2 This Day.
But Once Again We'll See
Im Comming...Look Out😉

IF WE ALL STAND UNITED!!!

IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER IN OUR OWN LITTLE WAYS I TRULY AND HONESTLY DO BELIEVE AND FEEL THAT FREESTYLE MUSIC WILL BE BACK STRONG SOMEDAY SOON...

SO NOW WE'VE LEARNED ALOT ABOUT THE GOODS AND BADS OF FREESTYLE'S PAST...

SO WE SHOULD NOW USE THE PRESENT AND FUTURE TO BRING FREESTYLE BACK STRONG...

SO LET'S DO LIKE KENNY FREESTYLE SAYS AND JACK G POINTED OUT AND QUOTED:

NO TALK, JUST FREESTYLE!!!

THERE'S NO REASON TO CRY BECAUSE TOGETHER, FOREVER WE CAN ONCE AGAIN BRING BACK AND MAKE THIS AN ENDLESS NIGHT AND LIFE OF FREESTYLE MUSIC FOR ALL FREESTYLE LOVERS AND FANS!!!

IT'S TIME TO FORGET THE PAST...

LET'S MOVE ON AND BRING FREESTYLE MUSIC BACK STRONG!!!

From all the posts ive read i would just like to say something about most of the new freestyle thats been released in the last few years. Here is another reason why freestyle keeps digging its own grave. about 80% of the tracks that have been coming out were total garbage made by people that dont know shit about the music to begin with..
most of the tracks that have been released woud not have even been considered years ago..
when i listen to certain comps. and singles out there i cant help but cringe.freestyle is supposed to make a statement, express certain views and emotions, but i feel that only a certain few have been doing that in the last few years. most of the producers of today arent even in the same ballpark as the pasts. they just keep putting out the same bullshit, about the same old "last night you left me crap" their such poorly written songs with weak, used and abused melodies.and some very monotone vocalists. Wheres the creativity??? if freestyle is ever going to make a true come back more quality songs have to be made.

nelson ,what ever happened to the release of your comp. entitled-The man and his music
i believe it was supposed to be released on metropolitan records.did it ever come out??

I respect your oppinion and alot of it is true, but of course many of todays producers are not even in the same ball park....you cant duplicate the past. You can only try somthing new.

Freestyle died a while back , and thats whats caused many new producers to surface. People that were just trying to save our music. It almost worked in the mid / late 90's with releases like Angelinas seft titled album and a ton of other songs. suddenly people were getting back in to freestyle again and it even created a new generation of freestylers. I remember the radio playin freestyle religiousely until about 1999, the 2nd death of freestyle.

Soon there will be another freestyle boom and the past can eaither repeat it self or we can learn from the mistakes that have been made with small promotion and little impact on the streets.

You have to relize that CLEARCHANNEL controlls most of todays music on the radio. They decide for the people whats hot and whats not. if the people make enough noise on what they think is hot ...then that will be in radio rotation too. But freestylas dont make noise.

Freestyle Died in my oppinion because Radio continued to play the same freestyle for 15 years. When Lables saw what radio was playin, they released comp. after comp. with the radio material.

The songs they played were fantastic. I mean the Classics that are still mentioned in thease forums today. But Look at HIP HOP, there out with the old and in with the new like crazy. Now look At freestyle , Same songs being played til this day that were being played when they 1st came out.

New School never got the chance to proove it self. From 1992 til now there has been alot of freestyle released.....alot of it was dope but never got heard nationaly. It stayed Local.

Now you have a huge generation gap that is ready for a new sound. Hip Hop is starting to play it self out. So many of todays youth missed out on freestyle because of the "radio discrimination" And if they heard freestyle , theyd probly dig it and buy it like we did. PROMOTION--HYPE---NOISE---SUPPORT!!!!!!!

Freestyle did'nt die, atleast not for the real freestyle headz.
If it died how do you still get events with mad peeps up in em', actually 2 in one night (Copa & the LQ) and both were Bangin !!!
Freestyle might not get as much airplay, but will always live on.

Hey Nelson. I agree. I love freestyle. But, I understand that Radio and MTV is a cutthroat business. These markets have to support stuff that is strong. In the early 90's freestyle was not a strong product.

The same with Network TV and popularty of bad Reality Shows. The networks had to do something in 2000 to keep ratings up after a slew of bad sitcoms and horrible drama and stop losing money.

I think if Freestyle producers start producing quality records, it revamp it's image on Satalitte Radio for now.
