What I think is missing is SOUL! The music ant got soul! It all sounds good, with some what up to date production, but its missing life.
 
To me, Progressive Freestyle is the product of Trip Hop and Freestyle. Arists such as Angelina, Jocelyn Enriquez, and Rockell successfully married the two, and gained popular appeal.

Whether Prgressive Freestyle is Freestyle is all about labeling and terminology. It definitely is not the same style as Old School. I put them on different shelves. But in lack of a better name for it, and because Progressive artists, producers and fans are already calling it Freestyle, then it's Freestyle to me, too.

Whatever you like is your choice. You may say one style is better than the other, and that's fine. I just disagree with comments about Progressive being made hastily or having worse vocals or having less soul, because I could come up with enough examples to counter the argument. Ahhh... To each his own.

It seems that everyone here will stand totally divided on what Freestyle music really is...

I have no problem with moving on.... Because the best times in Freestyle will never be duplicated no matter what any of you think or say...

I just don't feel this "Progressive" stuff guys/gals...

But..... As long as WKTU & the many Freestyle event promoters out there are doing their thing to bring Freestyle back then I will be a happy member...

To me all these "Progressive" artists are just doing dance music...And I definately set it aside from Freestyle....
