SAY WHAT???

HEY WILLIE,

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO WHETHER IT'S LATIN, NEW OR OLD SKOOL FREESTYLE MUSIC IT'S GONNA BE OFF THE HOOK...

SO PLEASE JUST GO FOR YOURS AND KEEP GIVING US THAT FREESTYLE!!!

A FOREVER MUSICAL FRIEND AND FAN FROM QUEENS, NEW YORK!!!

I like all the styles and often on my Radio show I would do a 30 minute mix of just one style. (last one I did was a miami mix) Company B, Stevie B, Jaya, genuine Parts, and then I stuck in some Buffy in there cause its the same style.

I would like to see more Combinations of the styles, The progressive has to be included cause its current. I like the "Euro" or as I like to call it the "Aura" sound in the Canadian style, which is now being used somewhat in some progressive tracks and also Trance. I like the hard beats and planet rock as long as its stays Danceable.

But I like the soft ones too.

I dont know I like everything as long as there no poor production and off key singers

NEW SCHOOL Rules - Old School = Viper Records

I pefer new school. When you had your old school versus new school intro on ???, you could feel and hear more energy from the New School Mix. Old school is just that - old - and has no chance to return to the music market.

I think a new version of breakdance could work. sort of a breakbeat/freestyle/breakdance sort of a Sweetsensation w/ omar santana meets Dj Icey with a touch or Carlos berrios

I like both old and new....so bring it on baby!! I'm from CALIFORNIA!!! 😛

miami,fl here and want to hear oldschool sounds. most music as time goes by gets more underground sounding. yet i think freestyle is just cheesy now. Listen to the breakdowns and edits on songs by sweet sensation, george lamond, etc etc. the edits were hard and the beats were thundering till your whole body would just shake. the new stuff doesnt so it for me like that. im not saying the new stuff doesnt ever have the hard beats-but planet rock beats and progressive euro beats over and over to me are just plain dull. if you cant come up with your own beats and insist on using those boring beats atleast spice it up with longer club mixes, edits, breakdowns, etc etc etc. theres a reason freestyle did so well in the 80's and that sound is still sought after. even the breakbeats of the rave scene thrive off the sounds of the edits, breakdowns, oldschool samples. in my personal oppinion nothing puts me to sleep more than that new precious woman. the same sound over and over. there was an original group from miami named precious that had two freestyle songs so go check them out. they were actually the two twins before they were in teaz 2 pleaz.

Hey Willie, I have been listening to freestyle for 13 years. I need some NEW SKOOL! I am always striving for the new sound, new artist. You are good at finding it, so go to it!

I am from Chi-Town!!!!!

Hmmm....

The only way that NEW SCHOOL FREESTYLE would stand a chance against OLD SCHOOL would be if it picked up from where it died/left off back in 1992...

I'm positively sure that those of you that say the "New" is preferred instead of the "Old" didn't live the times when FREESTYLE was the best thing going in NYC, Miami, etc...

If this NEW style is better than why isn't it catching on anywhere?

All of these Freestyle nights at clubs obviously play OLD SCHOOL alot more than NEW SCHOOL...

And what's so "NEW" about NEW SCHOOL FREESTYLE if the beat is from OLD SCHOOL/PRE-FREESTYLE TIMES?

Everytime I go to Tower Records here in Manhattan and search for FREESTYLE compilations, I dare not touch the new stuff because the beats & the one-potato/two-potato pre-kindergarden rythyms are all played the same way.

I don't wish to put FREESTYLE down in any way but if alot of people are saying that the "New FREESTYLE" doesn't sound promising than it should change...

new school PRECIOUS kicks ass !

kris u gonna get that ass beat lol you know PRECIOUS from orlando rulez! lolololol....."why cant u see" is da bomb! but i agree with kris about certain things lol but really with fireball about a breakdance movement! YO THAT SOUNDS HOT BRO!

I'm sure everyone already knows -- yeah, you too Will -- that I'm an OLD SCHOOL FANATIC !

However, I DO like some of the NEW stuff that incorporates the old school elements, most notably, the stuff from THE SANTANA TWINS ...

Willie has also managed to accomplish this on some of his stuff as well ...

I just HATE that new CHEESY stuff though ...

Old skool..

Like the rock says :

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOUR FROM!!!!

naw just kiddin , coming to you from Toronto which much luv!

I AM MORE FAMILIAR WITH OLD SCHOOL SO I GUESS I PERFER IT BUT I ENJOY HEARING NEW STUFF AS WELL...

BY THE WAY I'M A FREESTYLE FAN FROM CHICAGO

do the chicago or philly style......around 1996 i'd say new skool....

SPYBOY

Last time I checked the ROCK got his 'Candy ASS whipped!"

OR

Did they Layeth the "SMACKETH-DOWN" on him?!

Hey, just kidding! That's just propaganda ala Vince McMahon style...

THE ROCK is starring in his own feature film called "THE SCORPION KING" it is suppossed to be a prequel to the MUMMY...

That's why he has not been around the WWF!

Anyway back to this topic... It is obvious that today's music no matter what genre uses bits & pieces from the past...

I think alot of the people who really gave a damn about how & what they play concerning Freestyle has either gone off to do other things or are among us here at Clubfreestyle.com...

I'm telling you guys that Freestyle has to pick up from where it left off back in 1992... The reason is simple you don't hear anyone complaining that George LaMond, TKA, The Cover Girls, Expose, etc... was getting boring back then in '92 because people still love that OLD SCHOOL music today...

Remember that Freestyle was more about than just the music at that time... Some people got married, engaged, broke up, had sex, met the girl/guy of their dreams, one night stands, had fun at the beach, in clubs, etc... back then... It was if like the world was full of good things because of Freestyle...

Try to compare it now?!
