I am so sick of trying to talk about Freestyle music and people think im talking about Rap music! like M&M,(i know thats not how u spell, just thought it would be shorter)2 Pac, and all that useless shit! Its not even music!I was bored so I went to MTV message board to try to talk about freestyle, and this one a*****e said some shit like "Freestyle is Rap and M&M is the best freestyle rapper there is." i was just like "Uggh, you dont even know what Im talking about" and I explained it." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ing teeny boppers. UUUGGHHH! That just pisses me off! I just wanted to let of some steam about that. I feel better now. :stoned
 
I feel exactly the same way you do. I think they shouldve stuck with latin hip hop sometimes. Or I just wish they wouldve created another name for it. But hey, as long as we advertise our own definition of freestyle a much as possible it should get there eventually to t.v. and airwaves. It all depend s on the music and how good it is and the money that is spent to promote it.
 
i know how u feel, i got into an argument the other day with someone i knew concerning this...they were like we stole the name from rap...i am like oh god...whatever!!!
 
well, im assuming you are speaking to young kids if they reply with an answer like that. my suggestion is to stop speaking to these rugrats!
 
HEY LET ME CLEAR THIS UP FOR YOU GUYS. UNFORTUNATLEY BACK IN THE DAYS I WAS HEAVILY INTO RAP AS I WAS INTO FREESTYLE. THE REASON WHY PEOPLE MIX THE TWO OF THEM UP IS BECAUSE THERE IS A FREESTYLE IN RAP. WHEN A RAPPER SPITS(JUST RHYMES OFF OF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WITHOUT HAVING ANYTHING PLANNED IN ADVANCED) IT IS CALLED FREESTYLIN. ALSO KNOWN AS A FREEATYLE. THE RAPPER SORT OF DOES THIS OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WHEN PROMPTED TO. IF A RAPPER IS GOOD AT THAT THEN HE IS CONSIDERED A VERY EXCELLENT RAPPER.

Whenever i tell people what kind of music I am into and I tell them freestyle, they don't know what it is until I mention some artist name like Stevie B., or Johnny O. and their songs.
 
They should have left that music as RAP, and just leave Freestyle the way it is..lol..Now you know why I dont even bother with other message forums or anything like that. I stick to this one and im staying that way!

i know how u people feel...sometimes i try to say latin freestyle...but then people think im talkin about that nasty spanish rap----ewwww....so i try my best to explain to them wat the music is all about---if anything....bring them a few cds---pop in a few songs---and they will know right away wat u talkin bout---keep freestyle alive!!!!!!...the real freestyle

Problem With " Young People " Today...Is That They Are Naive And dumb And Only Listen To What Thier Friend Listens To.
Laugh When Thier Friend Laughs And So Forth. * Not All Of Yous But In General *
How Many People Talk Sh*t About Freestyle And So Forth...But 1 By 1 They Come Upto Me And Ask For This And That Or Where They Can Get What.
Remember This...People Flap The Mouth Alot...But Freestyle Would Have Died A Long Time Ago If Those Same People Who " Front " On freestyle weren't Buying It 😉
 
the actual problem with this is that rappers were doing freestyle way before we started calling this music freestyle. u can't say that hip hop is useless or not even music at all. if it wasn't for hip hop, THERE WOULD BE NO FREESTYLE!!! i am a big fan of good hip hop & freestyle. a quality hip hop or freestyle song takes a lot of creative effort. i agree with whoever said that they should've just stuck with "latin hip - hop". i can't remember when it started being called freestyle.

Yous Know That...And Yous In The Studio's Definately know That...

And It Got Named FREESTYLE Because It Wasn't Latin Hip-Hop To Begin With.
There Is Nothing HipHop About Freestyle. Maybe In A Few Songs U Have A Dude Rappin Here And There...And Maybe Some Beats Sound HipHopish. But It's Not In The " HipHop " Category.
