lanenadeoro, I can't explain why I am frightened beyond reason of statues either, unlike you I don't ever recall having an incident where they were involved. After my car accident 14 years ago, I was afraid to get in to a cab for an entire year, but then I got over it. whe I crashed on the Motorcycle I got back up sat on the bike, made sure it was running and kept going. but some fears are just unexplainable. try taking the car to a parking area, like the supermarket late at night, and little by little get used to sitting on the drivers seat again. take your time.
