I don't care if they want to explore other music as well, but at the least they can put a freestyle mix on it! How hard is that? I mean most songs released that have several mixes on it usually have some lame house or trance mix that is too out there for anyone to like. Why not put in a freestyle mix in place of one of these lame songs, in addition to the original mix, the house mix, trance mix, or whatever other mix they have. I think this is proof that they are abandoning and ditching freestyle, there is no reason they can't have a freestyle mix on there so it shows that they just don't want anything to have to do with freestyle. I don't see a problem with some of the comments saying they don't want to support the new music then. The big problem is not haveing a freestyle mix, it doesn't have to be the mix the label pushes to radio, but at least putting one on there will make many more fans happy and sell some more units. Hard to believe that Robbin's wouldn't include a mix on there. They themselves seem to be leaving freestyle.

its very simple....most are tired and had enough of doing things for free. Secondly, most times its really not a great biz decision (a profitable decision anyhow)....the reality is if u have a talent you should be paid for it! Just like you pay for artwork, major recording artists that we all know and love, (not to mention your providing a service ......favors are favors and biz is biz. No one can guarentee a hit, demos are kool -BUT COST $$. You can impress your friends with a song (but that reality is they all know what you do) and just like many know...if your not pushing at least 30,000 singles (im sure these days 12,000 units is considered worthy) and/or your song is not on the radio .....your truly not making any money . Show money is yours to keep. But we all have a job ....don't we ???? just some insight? may be a lil off topic , but its real. Fact is Artists, Producers , Writers , Label owners all face this. To repeat....."ever notice the word business is longer than the word music"..............................abandoning is probably a strong word...more like wiser business decisions would be the ticket......and after all, thats what can help turn things around in this circus.............

I'm not saying release a single ONLY having freestyle, but for example just including a freestyle mix on Judy Torres's new single in addition to all the other mixes, house, trance, or whatever. It has little to do with business decisions, only a good one, and that is including a mix that will appeal to freestyle fans.

I don't tknow about it being a strong word when you have freestyle artists putting out songs with SEVERAL mixes, and none of them including a freestyle mix. It's not that hard to do. It is as if the artists simply didn't want a freestyle mix on the album so that any current association with them to freestyle doesn't exist. Again so simple to include a freestyle mix if you're already including other mixes, and we all know, especially when it comes ot remixes of dance songs, that there is always a least one garbage mix that is not even worth putting in there. How about a quality freestyle mix in its place or in addition to?

DO you honestly think that as easy as it is to just download music, or share it through email, that they are going to seel more units because it has a freestyle mix in it? I am sorry but I don't think so. We have people in here now, doing that, and they are memebers of this site and they see all the post about not downloaded and all that crap and still they do it. so a freestyle mix doesn't exactly mean more sales. but I agree that if your going to have 10 mixes on a single then make one of them freestyle.

But also we cannot forget that it's not the Artists who put out the songs it's the labels, and if they say no freestyle on it or the song does not go out, what would you expect the artists to do, say ok don't put it out then. That is not logical either.

AS it is no new freestyle is getting played at least not on major rotation or on major stations, so maybe the only way these artists will get thier stuff played is by doing something different, because beleive it or not these artists do love to sing, and if freestyle isn't going to let them do it, then maybe going another route will.

But I also see where your coming from carefreestyler

one or two songs that you can't get because they are old school and out of print , is different than new school being emailed all over the place without buying and helping them along, you know what I mean?..lolol sangana!..lol

CaFreestyler I felt the Same way for a long Time Bro,. like evry one is Cowering away from freestyle, But The truth is Every one Has moved on to Higher ambitions. its not about releasing a great cd any more . People want radio , clear channel , and MTV. Ive Talked to Our own West coast Freestyle Represenitives about it , Slammin Sam, Randy Galaxy, glen Guterrez, and Mark Santos. They Still Love freestyle bro, but the days of just getting your stuff out there are over. they really are aiming for The Stars, Usher remixes For Radio , You Know What Im sayin? I live in the California Bay Area were we have freestyle playing in our local Foot Locker stores. Trust me when I say its not east coast, its not west coast , and its for sure not the artists. Its todays industry. Very Cut Throat, they dont play and if your not on the same page as thease narrow minded commercial big wigs, you have no chance. of making any thing at all.

but Beleave me when I say Freestyle is comming back and Calis gonna be making noise in the freestyle community Super SOON, Thats a promise and a FACT.
