hey Ma

Toronto is the place to be for sure!!

as for your family.. sooo many places!!!

CN Tower, highest standing structure in the world!
we got numerous Museums!
Restaurants from all over the world! We got China Town! Greek Town, LIL Italy, Portuguese Village... you pick! all with their own looks and flavours!
there is also the Dome... the Maple Leaf gardens 🙂

also if your guys don't mind to travel for a lil more... there are NIAGARA FALLS!!! beauty at its nature!

there are a lot of places to visit!! you won't be dissapointed!!

p.s. spyboy is from toronto too 😉 <~~~ another attraction hahaha

YEAH...BUT CHICA BEING THERE IS REASON ENOUGH TO GO!!!!

crazygirl,
Toronto's one of the best cities in North America. You will find great restaurants, great ethnic neighborhoods, and good shopping. The people are very laid back and polite. Make sure to try some Persian cuisine, check out China town and Greek town. Go see the Scarborough Bluffs and take the boat ride over to the Toronto Islands. You will get a great view of the city's skyline which is far more impressive than NYC's. The Royal Ontario Museum has an impressive collection. The city is also very bikeable in the summer, if you like biking.

One thing lacking in Toronto is scenic beauty.. it does have a lot of nice parklands within the city (High Park is nice) and the Toronto islands and most of the waterfront is very pretty, but if you want a place thats more natural and scenic go to Ottawa...where the city is perched atop a cliff over the beautiful Ottawa River with great views.... but for city life and great culture, Toronto is the place to be.

And yes, chica is there!

How far is Niagara Falls from Toronto?
damn i didn't think there was all that over there
by any chance will i get to meet any of you guys?
some one has to show me where Spyboy is at
lol
I can't wait
i'm sure i'll have mad fun over there
also what good night spot r over there?
cuz i'm going 2 make sure i check out the night life
CrazyGirl need to get CRAZY in Canada

OMG there is SOOOO much stuff to do in Toronto!! People have already mentioned Greek town, CHina town, little Italy, Portugese Village, Little Lebanon, there's is tons to see and do! There is also dinner theatre like Medevial Times you can watch jousts and all kinds of cool medevial stuff while you eat with your hands!! Tony and Tina's Wedding where you are the guest at a crazy wedding!! Al Khaina which is an amazing Arabian experience. Great middle eastern food and many belly dancers performing all kinds of dances for you. It is truly eye candy.

There's the Ontario Science Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), the CN Tower, the Skydome, the Air Canada Centre (ACC).

There is tons of scenic beauty in Toronto, regardless of what tarp said. It may not be the sxame as Ottawa, but the beauty of a city is that no two are alike.

Toronto is the city that never sleeps. THe night life is incredible and the streets are teeming with people at all hours. It's well lit and clean and the roads are taken care of.

We are about a 1 hour's drive to Niagara Falls, and on the way you can stop by Niagara-on-the-Lake to check out some of our award winning wineries, and in the next month or so you should be able to taste some yummy ice wine.

We are also about 2 hour's drive from Kingston which is where you can pick up a ferry and tour the Thousand Islands.

Canada's Wonderland, our foremost amusement park, is open on weekends until October 12.

There is so much to see and do in Toronto, I guarantee you'll need more than a week!

And of course, there is always the chance to meet us, your fellow CF'ers in true Canuck style!!!!

lol crazy girl... trust me, there are sooo many things to do, you woulnd't know what to do first 🙂

lol@scotman and jack.... you should come to... ahh what the heck all CF should come lol

next freestyle concert is September 19th!! lol

wow - never heard that before.

crazygirl i hope you're taking in this mouthful, i think everyone's just about covered the attractions toronto has to offer.
a note about the cn tower - besides the glass floor (which is breathtaking) the view is very similar to the view from a plane. and DONT stare upwards from the bottom unless you enjoy looking like a tourist gawking at the tall concrete shaft LOL. if you're gonna tour, keep in mind those "hippo" buses that drive directly from the streets into the water are very expensive. try out the subway, our very safe & hopefully fast mode of transport. visit queen street west's very cool shopping areas downtown as well as the eaton centre.

also maybe try visiting mississauga (just west of toronto) which happens to be my great hometown, the fastest-growing city in canada. see its square one mall (largest in the province, takes longer to walk end to end there than even the 4-floor monster the eaton centre). please remember to shop a lot because of our 72-cent dollar LOL. so have fun in sarstown crazygirl, don't get sick! 😀

(p.s. you will not find any igloos in toronto 🙂)

Tran Man, just check out NYC or Washington, D.C. and you'll see what I mean when I say Torontonians are polite.

The 73-cent dollar is nice, but the 15% GST & PST takes away from it all. It's possible to get 8% back on larger purchases though ($50 minimum per receipt, must have made at least $200 before tax in purchases).

One of my favorite neighborhoods in Toronto is The Beaches on Queen St. East. A nice place to go on a walk. Yonge Street in North York is lined with Persian restaurants and shops and is definitely worth a visit. Good Persian food is at Darvish, 6087 Yonge, or North Restaurant, one block west of Yonge St. on Steeles Ave. For really good pizza, go to Mamma's Pizza on Yonge Street just north of Lawrence Ave.

Other places to visit: the Georgian Bay region; about 1 hour north; there's a great biking/snowmobiling trail in Collingwood. Niagara Falls is only 1 hour south of Toronto if you drive like a madman. It's 80 miles distance and the QEW has a lot of traffic; the O.P.P. police run a lot of radar there, so don't go too fast.

Jade, you mistook what I said. The city is beautiful, yes. There's some interesting architecture, a stunning skyline, and lots of green as well. But you don't go to Toronto to see scenery, you go there for the city. If you want to see mountains, rivers, lakes, etc. you go elsewhere, because its at least a 2-3 hour drive from Toronto to any pristine wilderness.

OK OK OK
I know i won't be able 2 check out everything, cuz i'm not going 2 long, just a weekend to check out the Falls

but i will be there this weekend
