"WHY DID YOU QUIT ON ME"/"ME ABANDONASTE" by Bernardo
i have the english version but i really want the spanish one too. please help me

Hook me up with the answer to that...i've been trying for the last for years to locate it

Bernardo’s “WHY DID YOU QUIT ON ME”/”ME ABANDONASTE” was featured on the long OOP compilation Miami Classics, Vol. 1 which was released by Ex-It Records back in 1995.

Check E-Bay, it pops-up every now and then. I bought a sealed copy of the CD on E-Bay last year for $15.

Didn't you do a Spanglish version mix of that song Rhoq???? Well it just so happens to be my favorite version of all. I love that intro and the way you combined those rare cuts. You make it seem like a movie saga or something. It Kicked ass!!

Who? Me?

😉

Yeah - back in 2001 I edited new versions of a handful of different songs using various mixes (Club Mixes, Radio Mixes, Accapellas, Bonus Beats, Dubs, etc.) off of the 12" singles. It was more or less an experiment, based on an idea, which turned into a proof of concept.

I appreciate your kind words. Everyone seems to like that mix (Rhoq's Ultimate Bilingual Club Mix). I have heard nothing but good things about it. I myself don't like it too much, especially since I fu*ked up the middle of the song. Most people hear it and think it was meant to be that way. If you pay close attention where I have the English & Spanish alternating line-by-line, there is a part where the Spanish part repeats what was just done in English. That is not what I meant to do.

The track was done for a compilation of Re-Edits I did called The PFC Remixes, Vol. 1. For the record, my favorite track on the CD is "TEARS OF TEARS" (Rhoq's Extended Club Mix 2001) by Tonasia.

I had planned to make a 2nd volume, but I just never found the time to put it together. The only track that was finished for Vol. 2 is "WALK AWAY" by Jammy - and that was actually left over from Vol. 1 (I couldn't include it due to lack of space on the CD).

That mix rocked!! Believe it or not, I find myself doing that kind of editing also. I find we have alot of things in common. I guess that's why I seem to trust your judgement on alot of things. There are very few like us. 😉

As far as your comps. Are they still for sale?? If so, i'd like some copies. I'm also looking for a jam thats hard to find. Maybe we can keep in touch through PM's or email. My email is MysteriousDarkness5@yahoo.com
