George LaMond remade "Baby I Believe In You" which was originally sung by The New Kids On The Block

Many 80's songs have been remade by Collage and are featured on his comp cds.

Yeah that's what I'm talkin about!!!! (hee hee Jordan...mmmmm)

"Can You Stand The Rain" by Safire & Cynthia was originaly done in the late 80's by New Edition.

Denine's "One More Shot" was by C-Bank in '84.

Shana's "Best Part Of Breaking Up" was a early 80's classic.

Taylor Dayne's 1st album unreleased Freestyle song "Do You Want It Right Now", was 1st a Breakdance/Funk song by Siedah Garret in the early-mid 80's.

Brenda K. Starr's 1985 "I Want Your Love" was by Chic, & "Love On a 2 Way Street" by Stacy Lattisaw.

("Love Child" was not from the 70's, it was from 1968.)

Expose's "End Of The World" was by Skeeter Davis in the 60's as well.

I dont know if these count, but:

Corina's "Summertime,Summertime" was by Nocera.

Trinere's "When I Hear Music" was by Debbie Deb.

Pajama Party's "Over & Over" was by Brenda K. Starr.

Inoj's "Time After Time" was by Cyndi Lauper. (& most of her songs were remakes).

Shannon's "Let The Music Play" was remade by Tiana.

India's "Sobre El Fuego"("Through The Fire") was originally by Chaka Khan in the 80's.

Expose's "Point Of No Return" was remade by the Merenbooty Girls in '97 - (lol.)

DLG's 1st hit "No Morira" was first the duet ballad by George Lamond & Brenda K. Starr.

& according to my mom, Nyasia's "Who's Got Your Love" was a Spanish song my Grandfather used to listen to back in da days. I actually got to hear the old song back in the 90's, & it was true.

Sheila E's "The Glamourous Life" was remade last year with a Freestylish/Pop sound by Eden's Crush.

Emjay remade Company B's "Fascinated".

Joei Mae's "He's My Baby Now" was originally by Lisette Melendez.

"Touch Me (All Nite Long)" by Cathy Dennis, was 1st by Wish featuring Fonda Rae in '85.

Seduction's "Heartbeat" was from 1980.

Nayobe's "Make it Real" was originally by The Jets in '87.

...I'll see if I remember more.

The Cover Girls & Lisa Lisa both covered "I Need Your Lovin'" by Teena Marie

Lisette covered one of the best, old school, roller rink classics, "I Like What Your Doing To Me" originally by Young & Company. She did a good job on the vocals but the beat was much slower than the original so it lost a little of the original's energy. A house beat probably woulda been closer to an update of the original.

Kenny are you talkin about GL's single Earn my Love?
he uses Barry White's "Love Theme" for the music.............

Here come the rain again
Father Figure
Sweet Dreams are made of these
and others.. but my mind is not up and running and I can't remember them...

Cynthia - Gonna Get Over You
Miguel Reyes - Just Once
Judy Torres - You're My Everything
Michael Christopher - Your Love
Cynthia - Breakup 2 Makeup
Cover Girls - Wishing On A Star

By the way, does anyone know if there's a freestyle version of Tainted Love or Shattered Dreams floating around somewhere?

U see! - LOL!

after I posted, ...I remembered Cynthia's "Break Up To Make Up", & Cover Girls "I Need Your Lovin'" & "Wishing On A Star".
I was gonna put GL's song, but it wasnt a remake, just sampled from Barry White's.

Sandee's "Love Desire", was quickly remade around the same time by Spanish female rapper, Lisa M.

& Who could forget Allure & 112's remake of Lisa Lisa & Cult Jams' "All Cried Out".

Company B remade the swing classic, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy".

The Cover Girls remade "Up On The Roof".

Korell remade Brandon's "Kisses In The Night".

Nayobe did her version of The Mary Jane Girls' "All Night Long".

Jocelyn Enriquez remade the classic "Only You".

The Party's "In My Dreams" was originally by rock group Dokken.

I know more, but I cant remember, ....so I quit & will let u guys remember 'em all...... lol.
