could the westbury music fair be a good idea for a Freestyle show
it is owned i think by clear channel (ktu) it has a capacity of about
3000
 
ed, I HAVE TALKED TO THEM OVER THERE ABOUT THIS IN THE PAST, UNFORTUNATELY, THEY DON'T HAVE TEH FAITH THAT THE CAN MAKE MONEY ON THE SHOW, BECAUSE THEY QWOULD HAVE TO KEEP TIX COST VERY LOW IN ORDER TO SELL ENOUGH TO MAKE THE VENUE LOOK FULL. yOUR TIMING IS GOOD ED, I AM WORKING ON PUTTING A SHOW TOGETHER AT A CLUB IN NASSAU,WITH SEVERAL FREESTYLE ACT, END OF JANUARY OR SO,I'LL POST IT AS IT COMES TOGETHER
 
theres only 5 clubs in nassau that i know of
in nassau tabu(formaly oz) Posh(garden city hotel)
Mirage Zachery's the old Industry(which has a new name)

only one i havent been at is posh

That's too bad...I think Ed had a great idea ...Westbury Music Fair is THE best place to see a show...no seat there is a bad seat!!! Ive been to concerts there before and Ive sat in the front, back, and middle and saw perfectly every time! It's too bad Westbury wont allow a freestyle show there because that would be great!! And I honestly think it's safer than a club where people are packed in so tightly that it almost becomes dangerous and not exactly enjoyable.

The westbury music fair would never have a freestyle show there cause they cater to older adult type music like kenny rogers and do wop shows

Hey Ran, yes, Ed did have a good idea. It's not that they won't allow it, but,business, not a good idea. How many people would pay $30-$40 per tix, when you can go to a club, dance and pay half that much for admission. like I said though, I am working on some thing and hopefully can do it and make everyone happy and have a good time! hope you had a great Thanksgiving !!
 
Well my husband said they had a freestyle show at the Westbury Music Fair years ago.
It would be nice if Westbury would give freestyle a chance.

Hey Boop, yes they did. If i remember it right,they curtained off half the theatre (it's in the round), because of lack of sales..Anyway, when we get some things definate, I'm gonna want to speak to Mr &More...
